Its as there isn't many reliable large car producing companies involved these days. So you aren't really going to get any decent teams coming in.

BMW and VW (Although under the Porche brand) may be considering returns to Formula 1 possibly for the arrival of the new engines in 2013. Renault will continue it's engine development in Formula 1 as well.

US GP pulled out of the 2010 season, they rejected Stefan GP's applications for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
They were another team which would have to be built up though!

He has an infrastructure, millions of pounds, Toyota chassis ready to use, the staff from Toyota F1, the backing of the Serbian government and was pushing for a Serbian Grand Prix. They were perfect but the selection process is corrupt. Prodrive has teams in many competitions and had the use of the Aston Martin name but they were rejected.
