Maybe it should be more insulting lol :8
I think most of us have it saved now so when it gets removed im sure it will be back pretty quickly. :eusa_clap We cant have stuff removed from this thread incase its needed at a later date :8Quote Redtiz:
Ahh I think there's a bit of confusion here. It's not about whether a
fansite is official or unofficial...or even whether it's a fansite in
fact. Every graphic, article and piece of code on Habbo's sites is owned
by Sulake as is the trademark 'Habbo', and as the owner Sulake governs
how these things are used (or not used) by anyone else.
Why are they no longer allowing fansites to sell items/premium services?
Unfortunately because a significant number of fansites around the world
were doing such things as selling t-shirts with Habbo images on or
charging users to access clones of certain features such as Habbo Homes.
Just as you can't download Rhianna's latest hit and decide to charge
others 30p a time to download it from your own site, so you can't use
Sulake's intellectual property, copyrights or trademarks to generate
income. Sulake decided to make it clear that this couldn't be done via
the Fansite Way as the Terms are quite 'heavy reading'.
Some fansites do need to generate money to offset costs and they can
STILL do this via the following methods (and probably more they can
think of):
* User donation - they can't give a premium service or an item in return
as that's simply 'selling' by another name, but they can thank the
donator by giving them greater exposure on the site....badges, banners,
name printed somewhere, different colour on username, radio shout-outs etc
* Site sponsorship (eg approaching some company with all their site
stats and seeing if they'll cover hosting costs in return for ads or a
branded site)
* Ad revenue
If they don't want to do the above then they can continue to charge but
not use any of Sulake's intellectual property on the site
Hope that explains clears things up.
lol, i can't see why i got in trouble for that tbh, i was just trying to help people get the jist of why their doing it wow.
Well after reading her response it seems alot of vip features were still allowed lol i imagine somebody higher up read it and she was wrong and got put in her place and you posting it has made her look an idiot lol
Can somebody tell us who at sulake had this idea and implemented the rule? surely they have to come out and give the reasons why :eusa_wall people are insulting some members of staff at habbo who im sure also disagree with the move while some faceless moron sits back laughing to themself as other staff are is being harassed and blamed for the mess.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but it doesn't exactly take an amazing artist to make the sort of pixel art on Habbo. Infact, some of the pixel artists at Habbox Forum make beautiful alterations, and they're only 15, 16.
If Sulake's going to take away a main source of funding, why cannot they look into special situation inquires from certain fansites. I'm sure after looking into the funding situation for Habbox it would be evident that Habbox needs VIP. I think it's clearly obvious Habbox isn't selling T-shirts (and even if they were they're still endorsing Habbo, therefore I think this example isn't very good) and Habbox is certainly not selling Habbo Home clones.

If Sulake's created the rule in order to prevent users from taking ideas/graphics from Sulake then selling them, then VIP wouldn't have been mentioned. Selling VIP on a forum so Habbox doesn't have to shut down is totally irrelevant to ripping things and selling them.Charge users for premium services such as VIP access.
In response to whatever redtiz said about whoever Rhianna is, downloading her music then reselling it without a reseller's license, and creating your own social networking script and selling it as a service is entirely different.
Now we're told we cannot speak our opinions without big brother removing them...ever hear of censorship?

I will do my best to hurt habbo and sulakes so called good name lol its all in motion it just needs one little person like me to keep shouting until some bigger person listensI don't mean to offend anyone, but it doesn't exactly take an amazing artist to make the sort of pixel art on Habbo. I think if VIP does get removed Habbox must let all current VIP's have the chance to keep their VIP runningof course if you let it run out then you cant get it back EVER

I dont see why merchandise or replicating their services would affect VIP as they have two completely seperate parts for that which they could enforce without affecting VIP. It's all madness if you ask meFansites Must NOT:
- Offer Hacking, Scripting or Editing Programs.
- Publish any unreleased news regarding updates, new Furni or features without Sulake's prior permission.
- Ask visitors for their Habbo passwords or personal information such as telephone numbers or home address.
- Charge users for premium services such as VIP access.
- Act as an affiliate for a commercial entity, nor offer merchandise (including Habbo Furni) or services for sale.
- Offer to buy, sell or trade Habbo accounts for real money or Habbo Credits.
- Break the law or talk others into breaking it.
- Publish any material which may be offensive to other users or contains sexual content.
- Publish any personal information, pictures, video or documents belonging to Sulake Corporation Oy.
- Use slander or any other form of bullying in order to harass other people.
- Disrupt the operation of any other official or unofficial fansite nor disrupt the Hotel community.
- Replicate any part of the Habbo Hotel service ('Retro' Hotels, Habbo Home clones etc).
- Represent that your site is approved by or affiliated with Sulake Corporation Oy or that any other content on your site is approved by or affiliated with Sulake Corporation Oy.No wonder they wanted the email removed, looks like a pretty big hole they are drying to dig themselves out of

Quote that whenever Habbo/Sulake get in contact. Redtiz clearly says VIP is allowed, and you can call it VIP because, well, is that not what she says in that email? It's like telling people not to call animals that look like cats, cats, when clearly the description describes a cat... Perhaps not the best example but that's the best I could come up with for now
They're just a terrible company now, someone pull the plug on their franchise.
