    Day before seems like too much time to me. I'd like to see a notification at least an hour (preferably two) beforehand.

    Close Debates

    They're not popular, when one does come out it's either completely stupid or the same generic debate that's been done 300 times in the past 10 year (abortion, death penalty as a perfect example of the current 2)

    The department itself isn't needed as it's useless and the debates spewed out by Dan are absolutely crap. The member debates could easily be posted within Discuss Anything instead.

    For example just now we have the last post being 12 days ago (posted in a member debate), and the last post on official debates being between 20-27 days ago.
    Was anything done about this? Discussion with GM's or any other relevant person?

    The only time gold bars are added is if there's a thread about it, then they'll add some for a few minutes then remove them again, either do it periodically (say on the first day of every month) and announce it so everyone has the same chance, or remove gold bars from the shop if you're never going to stock them.
    Progress? again looks like nothing has changed except a new VIP going into it.

    Fix your calendar

    If you go to the calendar (http://www.habboxforum.com/calendar.php) and click for example the 21st, 2 events booked yet it directs you to the forum homepage. So either it's set to 2 by default so it doesn't look dead or there's something wrong with your script.
    Progress? have you spoken to site coders to ask for it to be fixed or anything?

    Make posting more 'attractive'

    You have the Weekly Posting Stats (do you? it's not been posted since the 6th of October) which is meant to encourage people to post, but it doesn't. No-ones going to intentionally post 100 times so they can get VIP for the next week, and repeat it constantly. You need to make people want to post.

    For example, if I post a bunch of threads the posts basically doubled.

    Take the last weekly stats for example: 0 over 100 posts, 1145 total posts, 166 posters

    Take a week I posted a few threads: 2 over 100 posts, 2816 total posts, 191 posters
    Another week I posted a few threads: 2 over 100 posts, 2160 total posts, 156 posters

    If you want people to post, then you actively need to make threads that people will want to post in, otherwise they'll look at the new posts/activity stream, see nothing and do nothing. They're not going to say oh the forums dead let's liven it up, they'll just look on another forum or do something else.

    Encourage the mod team to posts, hell encourage every department to actively post more. Encourage them to actively make threads that'll promote discussion rather than replying to some thread with nothing useful.
    Progress? Activity has slightly picked up I guess you could say, but I don't see a surge of Staff posting or anything out of the ordinary?

    Clean up the forum

    Take some time, go through the forums and clean it up.

    Some examples:
    - Sub forums that aren't active - merged with the parent forum in most cases just add a prefix or something.
    - Old stickied threads - re-write them so it's appropriate now, or just remove them.

    I'm sick of seeing stickied threads by someone who left 8 years ago tbh.

    And the likes of temporary stickied threads becoming stuck for 3 years.

    In my opinion, all stickied threads should be posted by a 'high' ranking member of staff (be it forum manager, smods, or agms)

    Some examples of these could be;

    http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=720719 - A stickied thread that should have been temp.
    http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=432 - A subforum that hasn't been posted in for over a year and 6 months

    Now on to replies regarding stuff (I'll go from current page backwards so I get most recent replies)

    I am not sure we actually have a say in what goes for debates since it is technically another department. If we did have a say on what goes on in forum related departments then we would have a say in what competitions are posted etc but really we don't. Although a debates leader isn't really needed its good to have someone there to at least push out debates every now and again with rewards. I don't really view that forum at all so I don't know what really goes on but Dan could post a thread where people suggest debates or you guys can post debates and Dan could then decide wether or not its worth debating on and add prizes etc.
    You could take it up with an AGM or GM as it's isolated to the forums (so essentially a forum dept, in a sense), a forum moderator watching that section could easily deal with rewards if necessary and I believe there is a thread, but it's only crap that seemed to get pushed out anyway.

    I've had a look at the non habbo skin shop and to be honest with you it freaks me out to change stuff because it looks scary lol. Um so I might have another play around with it and try not to break stuff..

    Matt was the one that sold the gold bars (Assuming Chris would now, maybe). So unless I want to buy credits with my own money, which I don't want to, I don't know when they would be coming back. I like what you suggested about having them being sold on the first of every month though.
    Then ask Chris, or ask Matt what's happening regarding that and either remove it from the shop if it's never going to be put in, or set up a schedule for it.

    Sulake don't have a problem with us selling VIP. They dropped it when Chris was the forum manager. We don't have any plans to sell VIP as of yet but I think we should keep it for seasonal purposes/comps/events etc so it has value.
    It has no value, there's like 30 months of VIP given out every month isn't there?

    Ask someone who does? It's a bug on your forums, ask the appropriate member who can deal with it to fix it.

    Myself and Phil had a talk about improving the prizes for the 100 posts stats and I think we are having the prizes accumulate like motm. A thread will most likely be posted later on regarding this.

    Also we have brought back staff posting which will hopefully encourage all staff to post more regularly. I wanted to make a requirement in the forum department and I don't think Phil wanted to, so im un sure about that at this point in time.
    Was there a thread posted about it? are you actually monitoring staff posts to ensure they're posting, as I've not seen any surge in posts due to staff posting more.

    We have posted a thread regarding all old threads that need to be re done. Not all old ones are being re done by the current manager because they aren't really needed to such as comps and some other ones written by Matt that are still useful. I also went some of the sections and un stuck some threads that haven't been posted in for yonks but I have left some threads that have been posted ages ago as some hold some good information. I think we are planning to post most of the forum department related threads on forum god.

    As of a few days ago I had merged the tutorials section with designing and development as well as adding a tutorial prefix. This will be posted in a thread once all of the clean up is completed.

    Thought I would let you know whats going on rather than keeping you in the dark
    Has any of it been done? ALL old threads need to be re-done, (i'm sure someone already said this) use a unique account (like forum god) to post ALL the important/stickied threads so that when inevitably a manager leaves you don't have an important thread posted by a random member.

    Also in a different thread about tokens a while back, it was suggested by people (and iit was going to be added) that a three day vip taster option be added into the shop at a low-ish price, cause atm you need 1500 tokens to get a reward etc
