Okay technically everyones had a different opinion on this.
But most of you have said it's either ;
wrong
or depending on the situation.

It's wrong to hit anyone not just women, its kinda like saying, is it wrong for a baby to hit a baby or a adult or child to hit a baby! I know i've gone a wee bit off topic and confuzzled myself, but it does depend on the situation SOMETIMES! Im talking about men and women btw, but if a women was trying to like murder you ? Anyone has the right to hit her back, your defending yourself for your life and your body. So i personally think its wrong to hit anyone, but if your a man, and you hit your wife/gf/partner, thats it, your relationship is over in a way, and if you have children, well technically thats it, your not gonna see them maybe.

I'll just stop yabbering on now, and say this.

Well why is it only wrong to hit girls and not guys? There's no difference whatsoever, except the gender difference. Girls hit guys, so they have the right to hit them back.

Go basicly a girl could hit you all she wanted hard trying to hert you you wouldnt hit her back... I think that you should hit them back if they are hitting you "/
