I think even suspension is pathetic.

I think detention for the underage smokers, at the worst. Suspension is just.. well, a load of crap really. It won't stop them from smoking, well, atleast not anyone i know.

Just encourages more smoking..

Suspended, sat at home.. Well you can have a cig!

I am aloud to smoke in the house, so for me being suspended for smoking is a holiday - Being aloud to light a cig up without looking for teachers, wow!

But underage smoking is illegal. The school should take action before police get there. A detention is okay but i would say at the least!

I don't see how you all say smoking is bad, and "dis" the people who smoke.
If someone wants to smoke it's their choise?

And I bet their are no high-schools in the country that have children in that have never smoked.

I don't care if people smoke as long as; I can't smell it, I can't see them dropping litter and they're not boasting about it.

If anyone at my school get's caught smoking - on or off premises they are suspended for a week. It's GREAT!

Yeah we have 1 too. Only ours is right next to a main walkway between two blocks so basically it stinks :\. I wish they wouldnt I hate smoke.

k, first things first. I hate smoking never tried, never will.

Right, theres a bunch of people at my school who go in the courner of the field every lunch and start smoking. The teachers all know cause they walk up to them and then they see 20+ people scattering everywhere from one place. A number of teachers while walking up to them passing me have said 'you watch they will all move when they see me'

Surley this can be a reason to expell them if not suspend them for a week or two? But they dont do anything so they just carry on smoking. It annoys me. Any views on this? Comment.

Well if there 16 it should be fine, there not doing you any harm unless your stood with them?

I had two boys smoking during my P.E. lesson the other day.

It doesn't bother me so much them smoking, but they're the ones asking for money to buy **** every day and annoying everyone with their lighters.

Smoking is stupid, i agree and it's not very nice to do either.

As i said before, aslong as somone is not smoking near me i'm fine, it's there heart or w.e there ruining.
