Why do people dislike Gays soo much?

A lot of people in my school always skit the gay guy. I think it's really harsh and i know im straight. But i still think it's wrong.

I feel as if they're trying to hide something or just showing up to the crowd.

I think a lot of people don't really have a problem with gays but just feel they have to make up a false ego about them when they're around people who don't like them. Honestly gay people are just the same as straight people when it comes to friends etc. But apart from who they like in a different way. The only problem i would have with a gay person is, if they tried to come on to me and they knew i was straight. I'd shhow them into the next millenium.

I don't hate gays, the reason people do is because its high school, most people are sheep.

when people say Gay, they sudenly think of Sex etc.. They dont think about the emotions etc.. Been gay isnt just about Sex etc... They just dont understand. But they call you Gay to offend you :s When its kinda a complement, as your most likely of grown up unlike them.

I hate political correctness.
People will hate other people. If a gay person upsets or puts another person in a difficult position (not being rude) then of course that persons going to want to know why! One of the persons characteristics is homosexuality. Now put all this rubbish aside anyway.

In the elizabethan times, people believed that the fairer skinned you were, the more beautifull. Even Shakespeare mentioned it in 'Much Ado About Nothing'. I guess that its grown on us. Now, we have only just changed our views so you will still see people being racist and whatever in this day and age. Give it time and it will surely go...

To be honest, I really find the feminine men really bizarre since they like to show it off. Its that confusion of genders I guess. If they are manly then you don't tend to see it because you think of it as one gender.

You have to understand that if a feminine guy hangs around another man who is straight, people may get the wrong idea, thus retaliating against this. Thats why.

i fine it funny when schools say "we stop bullying" to tell you the true school wont if it to do with you being gay. they just try and keep out of it

i know this could be a bit of a bump but another point is in my school people tend to use the word gay as one instead of rubbish or crap or something. Like "Oh my goodness thats so gay" I mean that kind of thing just shows the kind of atitude and doesnt really help the situation and i dont think its very fair

I'm aware there's the odd nutter who gets homophobic, but really? Why are you so offended? You plainly stated that gays are just like normal people, so in that case... like normal people. They can just let it go.
