Although you get to see your child grow up, i don't think its the best idea. You'll become to attached to the child and it really will complicate things. Maybe you should keep it if you want to see him/her grow up.. Or have him/her fostered until you feel your ready for something like this?

i've been brought up without my dad around only seeing him every so often, it's not so great.
you wont benifit from keeping it but the child will - it needs it's parents.
and when you 'think yr ready' to take the baby on board, what if it doesn't want to know you as you didn't want to know him/her before that?
just keep the child, it needs you.
