I have to disagree. Music can affect your life and the things you do. If I don't like dance music I won't go to a nightclub. Therefore my musical tastes can and will affect the things I do in life.![]()

What's wrong with wanting to play DS online against people? There is nothing wrong with it, you haven't got any type of problem if you want to play a game online so stop being an idiot and refering to the fact that I want to play DS games online :rolleyes:Those bands aren't rubbish, you just don't like them. That doesn't make them any less talented or any less good. Actually no it's not, hardcore is a way of life to loads of people - the lifestyle revolves around the music and with that comes other things, but seeing as you know bugger all about hardcore you wouldn't know it. You can make yourself look stupid/idiotic if you don't know it by saying about "techno sounds" that "scene people" will like - you made assumptions on it and you were wrong, making yourself look stupid. Well said Thrilled. I need therapy? Coming from someone advertising to play Nintendo DS with a bunch of randomers online...'nuff said.
And if you go back up I suggest you read my post again because I was ASKING if it was techno, it's not that hard to understand really, so if you're going to argue then argue about the topic in hand and not the fact that I choose to play games, I don't go saying you're sad because you think you're smarter and better than me because you think you can make me feel small or whatever because there's more of you, Hardcore music yes can be a way of life to some people, and it's these people that need to go outside because there's more to life than listening to people singing, maybe try make your own music? I doubt you have the brain power to do that though eh?
All music is creative in some way, not always in a good way but in a way and tbh half of the music around now is not "original" you will get very few original bands because it's all been done beforeOriginally Posted by YoManGo!
good call. original and creative music is never any good anyway.

I don't really wanna get that involved but when she said some see Hardcore as a way off life, I think she meant like which friends, social life like going to gigs and such, what they spend their money on etc. Not staying in all day listening to music. What's wrong with wanting to play DS online against people? Liking the sarcasm
I'm just saying, you tell me to go see a therapist when you're what 16 and wanting to play people on DS online which is really "using your brainpower".What's wrong with wanting to play DS online against people? You asked what the genre was, then you went to try & describe what you think it may be and mock it? That's stupid, like I said.Originally Posted by Neil
If not dance is it some rubbish music designed to make little people think they're cool or "scene" get a bit techno in ohh leet now aren't you?
Considering I play drums, I think I do have the "brain power" to do that. You basically just mocked anyone that listens to music by anyone other than themselves. Hell, most people listen to music made by others but can't play an instrument themself - what's your point? So yeah, I play the drums so your point is dismissed. Also we don't need more of us, it's just that you are making stupid comments and we feel the need to comment you back on them.

HARDCORE IS A WAY OF LIFE FOR THE SOCIAL MOVEMENTS IT PUSHES. THE MOST COMMON IS STRAIGHT EDGE, WHICH TEACHES KIDS TO LIVE AN INTOXICATION FREE LIFE, IF YOU'RE SAYING THAT THAT ISN'T A WAY OF LIFE YOU SUCK.
but srsly 21 and you play ds online. lol![]()
Well fair do's you play the drums but really what's the buzz with hardcore? I looked up wikipedia and hardcore is under like 4 different genres of music so really I am right, it may not be "hardcore" but you mentioned Hatebreed which is Metalcore, which is Death metal, then there is hardcore dance, hardcore techno so you can't really be arguing about hardcore when there is tons of different types so as far as I see it anything you've tried to prove me wrong about is now invalid, that straight edge crap yea so that is different but really who cares? If people want to get drunk then they can, drugs I'd understand for but if people want to drink then people shouldn't really stop them (unless obviously it's underage) smoking and drugs I would understand if bands tried to encourage people not to use them but drinking isn't really bad unless you do it too much or too often, proof about different types of hardcore is hereI'm just saying, you tell me to go see a therapist when you're what 16 and wanting to play people on DS online which is really "using your brainpower".

I'm not 21 you moron, and really, any band could teach people to live an intoxication free life, hardcore needs to be a whole "thing" to achieve that?
Dude, you can't ask what the buzz with hardcore is. I like pretty much EVERY genre of music - hardcore I just prefer out of them all. You have a favourite music genre and I don't mock/comment you on that, so why bother it to me "/ Hatebreed aren't metalcore, KSE and Atreyu are metalcore - Hatebreed definately aren't metalcore.Well fair do's you play the drums but really what's the buzz with hardcore? With straight-edge they aren't STOPPING anyone from drinking "/ They are encouraging them to stop drinking, but they aren't MAKING them quit drink if they don't want. You seemed to have interpreted this a bit differently than it actually is.

KSE? Atreyu are goodI don't really get why metal has so many different sections =/ it gets annoying, I don't care cause I like everything, my fave band is SlipKnoT and I listen to Eminem and all sorts of rap, pop and just about anything, the only music I hate is dance, mostly because it's normally just a beat, maybe someone singing and it's just repeating over and over again, some is different but it's just too boring and dull to listen too
KSE being Killswitch Engage, dubbed the best metalcore act around at the moment but for me it's a tough call between them and Atreyu. I think because there is such a wide genre of metal, like so many different types that you get so many different sections of it. Speaking of Slipknot you seen Corey Taylors hair? Or lack of it should I sayKSE? But I think it goes overboard - one of my friends listens to a band called Finntroll and they are "Troll folk metal" which I can't stand, although it's somewhat humourous/catchy. I like dance personally, I mean most rock songs consist of "repitition" apart from the chorus, which is like dance. Plus some people don't realise that dance music takes a lot of hard work to create - although it's electronic it isn't as easy as it's made out.
