I added a new feature "Privacy" in "File Options"

You can now send someone a URL to a folder (they have to be logged in though, im mean) however you can set the folder to "Private" or "Public", public being they can view, private being only you can.

To get the url, just double click on the folder, same with viewing a file etc.

eg: (you got to be logged in)

It's good, but usually it goes straight to 100% when it's not really at 100%... then it waits a minute until it has loaded to 100%.

Before I had this system in place

File selected
Hit a URL saying a file upload has started

Begin upload blah

100% uploaded

Hit a URL again, confirming the file has been uploaded

Displaying URL.

This is because of filereference in flash, basically doesnt take on the sessions of the browser but the "loadVars"/etc does.

So without that I didnt know if a user was uploading or not

But I now i have a system in place where I just upload the file, confirms it with the session ID imported via flash vars.

It should be faster, and should display the URL faster.

I think ive explained that well, Source says im **** at explaining and I admit I am.

Anyway, problems please tell me so I can fix them.



Othr issues:

File moving, drag / drop wasnt working for users, now is (I didnt pick this up as I have an admin level which bypasses some checks that wernt co-operating properly.).

Folder privacy options, now work and you dont have to be logged in to view public folders

Atm got ot fix some code to stop private folders in the parent from displaying etc, not hard just a bit lazy.


If you think i should change anything and it seems practical I will.

If you think anything should be added, please tell me and I will think about it.

Users signed up since the beginning till 15th of May and are active throughout beta (system tracks you guys, its hardcore) will receive lifetime memberships (when I introduce them eventually) and also get access to betas automatically.

Why does it take around 10secs from when I actually select the file to when it starts uploading?
