I'll be honest, In my 6 years of playing habbo (haven't spent a penny in 2 years), I've probably spent less than £160 so around £3.30 a month which isn't much when you think about it.

yeah at the very beginning I used to buy codes for 15 credits or something (seems stupid that you could buy so few back then? :S) via either home phone or sms... and I would probably do that once or twice in a month and then not buy any more for another 3 or 4 months... then I realised I could just buy codes off other people with furni.
