The problem is that they don't serve a functional purpose. Why have Thrones held their value so well? They're a 1-square seat. Most rooms have plenty of seats in. People don't just want one Throne as a piece of decoration... they want plenty to serve a functional purpose.

The rarer items should have been given some sort of exclusive drink/item vending machine. There's often at least one of these in every room, and I'm sure users would happily welcome a 'more rare' alternative to what we've currently got. New, exciting teleporters would have gone down a treat. Basically, anything that most users are going to crave more than one version of.

Glorified bird baths don't do it for me.

Find out what our plans are for Rares once the merge is complete.
After analysing the Rare values across the merging Hotels we have come to the following conclusions. Once the Habbo.com merge is complete your Rares will either:
1) Rise in value,
2) The value of your Rares will not change significantly, or
3) Some Rare items will drop in value.
Number one and two will not cause any problems, but to keep Rare owners happy we've created a list of items which will most likely drop in value. For each of the items below, the owner will receive a special compensation piece of Furni. We have listed the name of the compensation Furni next to its associated Rare.
You may want to hold on to the following Rares instead of trading them:
Dino Egg - Ultramarine Sub (those who own a Dino Egg will receive an Ultramarine Sub)
Habbo Turntable - Golden Carp
Silver Elephant - Green Carp
Black Giant Pillow - Green Carp
Romantique Clock - Silver Carp
Habboween Cauldron - Silver Carp
Red Fountain - Red Carp
Violet Laser Gate - Red Carp
White Oriental Screen - Red Carp
Green Powered Fan - Blue Carp
Grey Fountain - Blue Carp
Red Giant Pillow - Red Ultimate Machine
Yellow Parasol - Red Ultimate Machine
Speaker's Corner - Red Ultimate Machine
Holo Boy - Red Ultimate Machine
Holo-dice - Red Ultimate Machine
Sea Serpent - Red Ultimate Machine
(For those technically minded - the method used to check the change in value is done by comparing the amount of each Rare in circulation in relation to how many active traders exist in the merging Hotels. This is then compared against the final Habbo.com merged Hotel.)
If your item is not listed above, we're expecting your Rare values to rise or roughly stay the same.
