I think the problem was that over the past year or two the Head DJ role transfered to nearly management which was quite silly indeed and really that needed to be stopped whilst it was happening. The Head DJ role in its past form was always useful and vital with transition from that to management. Managers are management and no one else should be, I think it was quite silly to even start defining them that. Leah and Hayley brought perfect points out there. I think one manager and one assistant is too much, we shouldn't be making the management bigger, it should in my opinion be two managers, two Head DJs, 4-6 seniors and the rest. I am not doubting Gemma's hard work and effort here, I am simply stating this role of Head DJ did change too much into a managerial role and there should have been a platform kept between senior and managers.

i mean thats just my 2 cents tho i have more cents in ma wallet i think its very silly and shud be RID OF despicable i say good day to u all

ryan was you drunk when you wrote this?

ya don't get the jist do you?

the senior dj's are like the moderators of the radio, they make sure that any complaints are dealt with and report errors or problems that occur, e.g. swearing on the radio and generally offer support to the dj's if any of it is needed.

the head dj does all the 'paperwork' side of it i guess and is more of a mentor for the seniors and 'juniors' as you put it.

thts all i can remember, it's early

drink up this bottle of yeah
    and P A I N T your body on me

Senior DJs are there to help other DJs as well as reporting stuff to management that was going on the radio. If swearing etc is played then the senior DJs will report it, then the head DJ would send warnings or private messages.

I agree with quite a lot of the points here in the fact that now when someone resigns it's going to be going straight from Senior DJ to Management, which is one huge gap, from reporting a few DJs to having to fire/hire/manage a site/warn DJs etc. I still don't think it should have been scrapped but hey!

Agreed with Angel-Light, the head dj was more of a peer mentor than someone of a higher position.

He probably did mention that and maybe a ton of other things too knowing him. Although I do wonder why Sulake didn't force this from day one really? If this is the case but nevermind. I don't know much about these laws and regulations in regarding calling it "staff".

The Head DJ role was too management like and therefore Gemma may of well of had the title as "Assistant Radio Manager". Maybe this is something we should of enforced to be changed, that might be something for the future if any of them decide to resign. Regarding the point Dinasaw is making when someone resigns they would go straight to Management, that won't be the case straight away. You mention its a huge gap but isn't that like Super Moderator > Assistant Forum Manager though? (My example) The role changes, you don't really moderate and you do the Management side of things. Which they can learn from the Manager or whoever.

i think its better and as Oli said yea its great that Gemma can look after the radio when Jess n Scotty are sleeping lol. Becasue Bascially Gemma is looking after the Internation Djs and Scotty is looking after the Uk djs. They Should actually have a International Radio Manager tbh

Although the gap is much wider between senior DJ and manager to super mod and manager.

Not at all, DJs& Senior DJs are basically moderators, moderators edit/djs dj, moderators report things/senior djs report things. SMOD and Senior DJs are one hell of a lot of difference lol.

It was an example scott. I wasn't saying they were the same as one is "forum" and the other is "radio".
