And Danube, I have to agree with the rest of Habbox needed international staff as well. That's why you should be embracing the ones you do have.
    Thank you!

I also agree with Mathew about the Roxy916 announcment thread (cba to quote incase the server dies again)- I haven't been on for a couple of weeks but from what I've seen when I was, was that warnings were issued out like MSN messages (lol you could see I couldn't think of anything). Tone. It. Down. Surely you're saying that to ones who start to offend others? I think, without trying to be too harsh, you need to follow your own advise and just tone it down slightly and just get on with what's being said (obviously if it's serious then go for it, but I doubt 100% of the time everything's A-OK, nothing is).

I'm going to go off topic again and talk about international. I have said this many a time. I hate the word using "International". Why? We're now a Habbo.com fansite. This is for UK, US, AU, SG and CA. Sure enough, we were a UK fansite but now we're not! I'm glad that Jess took on the advise and changed it to groups, this is far better so you're not classing anyone as international. Don't use the word international, it bugs me so much.

EDIT: Oh now I know what I was going to say! When I first saw the title I thought it was going to be about Events in HxHD outside of the BST timezone- I agree so much about that. Staff? I don't think it's too bad and I think it's slightly exaggerating as the department is coping.

Going off topic... I have nothing else to add in at this moment in time.

I'm not going to moan about HxHD because it's happening to all departments and the same happens each year. People resign when it comes to September to "concentrate on school" but they'll all be back once they've settled in.

Yeah, HxHD had a severe lack of staff members. I'm in there pretty much all night and I haven't seen more than 3 staff members. With the new trialists however, hopefully there will be more activity!

Now this, I agree with. I think HxHD Staff (and Management!) have forgotten about this little thread made by Roxy916 back in July... the new ruling system seems to have been ignored and we've reverted back to warning for absolutely everything.

I agree. As you've said, the problem is with people sticking to the fansites used before the merge and not wanting to move. There's been a few international events staff but they usually resign as they feel quite lonely sat doing events on their own

When people settle in at school, staff will start coming back and so will the visitors. It's not HxHD's fault as such.
I agree with you that we need to refresh everyone's minds on what the HxHD rules actually are, and this will be done soon.

I agree. I hate saying international (as it's such a long word to spell). It should all be changed so it entices more international users. I think I brought something up about BST times in the calendar (when we had an assistant events manager) and not much was done. I think if the site was more friendly you would have more applications.

What I believe would be a good idea is to have a "click here for other timezones" in every single event announcment. What annoys me is that I know you have to put "3pm BST!" for example- but some people just put "3pm". 3pm what time exactly? Could be 8pm in England, for example. Even still it is not much effort to load up a timezone (this is as an EO point of view- sorry going off topic again but this can be incoporated for HxHD as well) and just list all the times.

http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=666855 is a good example of "7pm", although it doesn't really give much significance, it is just a prime example that "BST" should be used, or a "Timezone switchy thingy me bobby"

Another example is here (sorry Martin) which again, could have been useful for people outside the BST timezone.
Anyway I am going off topic but I personally think that's a good thing, it makes more discussion and improves Habbox as a whole as it is a tree of ideas rather than one single stem.

Yea, just a bit off-topic. The time-zone changing is a good idea. But I still can't get over that there needs to be more International staff overal to affect Habbox as a whole.

OT- I'm getting off now, it's 12:30am and I gtg to school. Will reply to this thread tomorrow at like 4am UK time

There does. You can't magically make them appear by saying "abracadabra" though. If they're here and they can show that they've got good qualities, then hey presto, you can use what you've got.

I disagree with your earlier comment, I personally think the application is very important. Managers can use their beliefs on how they could work judging by what they've written- if they can explain themself, they tend to be able to explain the answers to questions. Management do take risks, it's been shown on Habbox many a time, sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't- the application process is useful and I'm sure David and Shar will use what they've said in the application to try and judge (I don't like saying the word 'judge' either tbh! ) what they'll be like behind the desk- activity, behaviour and how they explain themself. Things don't happen without taking risks and I'm sure that they do that to make Habbox better as a whole.

I'd love to moan about "jokes" being taken too seriously in HxHD but everyone already knows where I stand on that..

But yeah, people complained about the rules being too strict and it was apparently taken into consideration. I just don't think HxHD staff got the memo about it, that's all!

Good idea - would be good to have some quizes in the middle of the night to suit more people.
Habbox really need to work as a team here to bring people from all countries to the site. When it gets to about 10pm, Habbox basically closes until 5pm the next day. All events, DJing, Quizes, Giveaways, Competitions, HxHD are most active from 5pm - 10pm.. we need to make it a 24 hour kinda thing. There's a whole new set of people out there which will run Habbox when we're asleep, we just need to find them.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'm sure David would be able to code something which gives a link to the times in other countries..

Yeah, EOs are supposed to put "BST" on the end but many forget (or simply don't know).. maybe they need reminding or sent a PM if they forget

    Woooooo what a fun thread.

That is in fact untrue, HxHD was busy 2 hours prior to when the quiz was on.

The time when trialists were announced. IMO, I think everyone went to see the new trialists (or try out the new seating as a trialist)

    Well not everyone. (A)
