No it's suggesting if we make an exception for one thread, it should only be that posted officially by forum staff.

not allowing anyone to make a xmas thread, closing it an hour or so later and leaving the 30 people or whatever that posted with a bonus of 500 rep points, then creating another in a few weeks with the exception.

omg shut up that's why I'm suggesting leave the thread, put it back on the 21st, people can't rep our posts if they already have. then everyone else can post and get in on it. you keep saying people will post twice in the thread but they'll do that even if a new thread is made? thats why i said move it to discuss anything, anyone who posts twice can have their post removed (even have both posts removed so they cant get any at all)then its all fair.. bet you wouldn't complain if you were one of the first posters to get loads of rep.

oh does it really matter? oh it's unfair!!! rep in christmas threads will always be unfair as it's always front-loaded (earlier you post, the more rep you get). plus, it's not like it happens all the time. unless there is a simple way to remove the rep, no admin should have to go through it all manually and waste their time because some people are annoyed other users got more rep than they did. chill...
