I disagree with removing the vip forums just because Scott clicked his fingers. It doesn't even clutter the forum and only vips see it, so it's not exactly overwhelming to new members.

Things are occurring they just take time is all I would say, the recent Rep/Like system was implemented pretty quickly at least in my opinion. More will come.

I'm sure they are but unless we see something I can't really comment on it

I'm glad to see Martin is taking initiative in this and pushing to do it, rather than the normal sit back it's someone else's job kind of thing.

The purpose of the VIP section was subforums, those were deleted a long time ago leaving this unnecessary thread which would fit under feedback.

The only purpose it has is name changes and features request, which if these were created today would go under feedback.

It hugely clutters the site as it's an unnecessary category and forum and others agreed in my previous thread which someone decided to delete.

Obviously it's all opinions though.

also at no point did I click my fingers, i threw it in a suggestion thread I made asking other peoples opinion also regarding the points I put.

and that's why it was posted in feedback so others can chip in with their opinions too which seemed to be very similar to mine with people failing to see the point in having a whole category and forum for 2 threads that don't need to be there

it's not clutter it's just mostly pointless?
the last vip thread posted in was february this year (i dont think there was anything in the last 2 months? cant prove it anyway)
theres a subforum with 1 active thread in it? very pointless
the name change forum could be under support or even just a public thread.

It could be tidied up sure, but if it's removed and the threads tucked away elsewhere it becomes less accessible and obvious to new vip members (Granted we dont get many). This is just something else that feels like change for the sake of change.

it's already tucked away hidden at the bottom of the forum, 99% of the time its on activity stream/new posts is when a staff member wants a new usertitle

it becomes less accessible and obvious to new vip members

a public thread higher in the forum for requesting features is definitely more accessible and obvious to new members.

Just to continue to keep you guys in the loop: I'm expecting to hopefully get the first article published tomorrow night! I have a beautiful banner now, and have spoken to most managers (just waiting on a couple). It's actually pretty exciting looking at all things we have coming up and that are being worked on at the moment! Hopefully having it all in one place will be beneficial to the community and provide a bit of a buzz, as well as keeping everyone up to date with what's going on! I certainly feel more enlightened!
