I think its just a random letter, im not sure, because at EGPH im flying from was information kiloIt says "This is London Luton Airport information (PHONETIC e.g. Yankee)"
not sure about the left left leftOk, the ATIS.
I've been listening alot to EGGW on my radio.
I've found the following and do not understand:
Thankeee
- It says "This is London Luton Airport information (PHONETIC e.g. Yankee)"
- There's some random noise it sounds like a blurred man saying "Left left left" and it goes onto the report.
- "Report information alpha received aircraft type with initial contac with Luton"
but infomation letter is just letter they give for every new atis
report aircraft type for them means to sort aircraft out for taxi so they get most use out of the runway and infomation letter is use so the controller knowns if you have the most update infomation such as winds and vis ect ect
so they can give you any update which made have changes
well this what i was told anyway![]()

I don't get it? So say I was flying a b737 I'd say to the controller "B737" and they'd sort out a parking for a b737 etc.

no it so they get the most use out of the runways i.e 737 and a 767 calls up their gonna get the 737 out first as it take up less time on the runway

Yeah, Like at Manchester you see a line of 767, 757s, 747, 777s and these little planes jump the queue. Very funny to watch, like you can see the big pilots putting two fingers up at the smaller planes or the other way round ;]
LOL. I really wna go to manchester..

You know what they are, things like "Bristol ATC" or "FSX4U". "professional" (so they claim) groups that provide "idiot" free sessions for people to practise professional flying. i used to be a member of FSX4U until i realised how lax their security was, anyone could get in and ruin the session.
what groups do you fly with? if any?
