I can't say much on the matter but I think anyone who can treat an animal like that is pretty messed up in the head.

Happens throughout the whole meat industry sadly.
Also about peta: petakillsanimals.com is run by the center for consumer freedom... the guy's that told you cigarettes were good until about 10-20 years ago, and that passive smoking was a "fad", their "donaters" also include- kfc/outback steakhouses and other "meat-industry" related companies, also tobacco companies.
The figures about peta killing the animals they take in was due to a contract created by peta which stated that they would humanely kill any animals which could not be housed in animal shelters so they could oversee that the process was swift and was as fair on the animal as possible.
The center for consumer freedom is nothing more than a biased self prophit organization, most of their "donations" are to projects ran by a high ranked official in the company, the money then gets feeded back into a greater amount.
So yup. ^_^
Without grain and soya beans to feed the animals with- there'd be no animals=no meat, but if meat became contaminated we could live off the vegetables

So killing animals alive, by skinning them is somewhat swift and fair? PETA kill their animals because they get money from it at the end of the day. They kill healthy animals which could go to a shelter and be re-homed. An American newspaper/magazine called 'True's' tells readers how it kills 83.6% of all the animals taken into their care, and it's a number that is steadily rising. This is also the number that is recorded, there is far more concerning the numbers killed in vans immediately after they've picked up the animals. The figures about peta killing the animals they take in was due to a contract created by peta which stated that they would humanely kill any animals which could not be housed in animal shelters so they could oversee that the process was swift and was as fair on the animal as possible.
A famous image that always appears in my head when PETA is mentioned is the one of employees jumping on fish which they were meant to save...

We had to do a speech in English for GCSEs and my mate did one on KFC cruelty it was fantastic. I wish people were more aware.
She got an A* by the way, it was great. the class was in shock.
Did you read the rest of what I said? Also the "skinning them alive" i have never heard of, there have been a few animal abusers within peta as far as I know- but it is a huge organization and you get "bad seeds" in everything. So killing animals alive, by skinning them is somewhat swift and fair? Also you are grossly misunderstanding animal sheltering- the fact is, there usually isn't enough room for animals in shelters, they're just so overcrowded by people overbreeding them/kicking them out of the house and leaving them to rot on the streets.
Also, as far as I know, peta take the animals in freely, they aren't paid for it.
I'm not for or against peta, but I hate it when people believe a bunch of crap made by money hungry people: ie: the center for consumer freedom.
There's always two sides of a story.
kfc is utterly discusting.
