1000% support that idea, +rep if I can.Anything that affects the forum or site I imagine is of great importance to the majority of members. Personally I would much prefer to see a Habbox News forum, that covers the forum and the site only, and let the events, name changes, staff recruitments (possibly) stay in announcements.
The ideal scenario could be to use the global announcements, like others have said, where the admin staff can add any forum details that are necessary, in there, so it'd be the first thing we see when we come onto the forum.
Then the announcements forum can be used to announce staff/events.
I don't think there's a hack necessary to use the global announcements either, but it might have some security flaws no matter what!
You french fried when you should have pizza'd. If you french fry when you should pizza, you're gonna have a bad time....
GREAT BANTER
I know. It really annoys me when they post 'Wahay great turnout' etc.
Completely pointless and no ones cares.
i'm out of touch, i'm out of love
i'll pick you up when you're getting down
and out of all these things i've done
i think i love you better now
I think what this thread proves, and it's now been highlighted is that members want to be able to read what they consider to be important Habbox related news, and not have to hunt for a thread in announcements that may have been posted over 24 hours ago and is now buried because of the volume of new threads/posts in the last 24 hours.
I personally prefer a Habbox News Forum, I don't think members want to be forced to read, they simply want the choice![]()
It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!
Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them.
Exactly - please, into force please management!?I think what this thread proves, and it's now been highlighted is that members want to be able to read what they consider to be important Habbox related news, and not have to hunt for a thread in announcements that may have been posted over 24 hours ago and is now buried because of the volume of new threads/posts in the last 24 hours.

eek.
Double posting needed - another example has come:

Sorry, but what is the NEED? I think we can see the competitions clearly enough - why does it have to push down important announcements? :@
eek.
The need is so members can see the comps and access them without having to go through all the comp forums. It's only fair that the comps get advertised if we all work hard on producing them. Entries tend to go up when they are announced.

best announcement ever.
But i do like the idea of a global announcement for say server issues ect that way everyone has to see it or "force thread".
