No offence Darren but you've been in the photography industry for what, not even a year and you're trying to sell your work. Your work needs a lot of improving before you can even think about selling them and you're trying to actually act as a proper company when you're what 14/15?

RUN, I think you are wrong. Both myself and Josh Harris have experience, and our photos are at the level of selling. I am currently going through the application process on iStock, however we are now looking to do more contract work, such as the WhiteAir festival which we agreed yesterday.

'you're trying to actually act as a proper company when you're what 14/15' - I do not believe there is a rule saying that young adults can not start a business...We are not calling ourselves a company, as we are not registered. I am 15, and my partner Josh Harris is 17.

I never said there wasn't a law against it - I just think it's highly unlikely that you act as you do on the forum, in real life. Just because you've got a camera and scenery - doesn't mean you are a photographer.

I have experience but my photos are of no where near selling quality standard. How many courses have you been on? How many NVQ/GNVQ's in the photography set-up do you have?

You claim to 'be in the application process of stock photos' - maybe so but that doesn't mean people will buy your work - most stock photos work on percentage pay-outs so you won't get anything if no-one buys.

You are covering the event but how much are you getting paid for it, where's the contract and where are these photos going to be published?

You do not need to go on courses, or have qualifications to become a photographer - infact not many people do.

I will not be paid by Whiteair, because this is to build up some experience mainly. We will be providing a selection of images at the end of each day of the event, and they may be used during/after the festival and the following year in any publication. We are also hopefully going to be working with a local paper to cover this event - kill two birds with one stone.

Success is not built on hope, but determination.

When I say we are hoping... I mean we are just waiting to hear back from the director of the newspaper.

We are also waiting to hear back about a boat adventure during the world famous Cowes Week.
