As promised, the grand finale.. the last ever... Teenage Lives.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who has followed Teenage Lives since I began writing it. It's had its critics but it is all you guys who gave me the hits, the feedback, that made it worthwhile. Enjoy.

[There is pandemonium in the Church]

Barbara: Lionel! Is he OK?

Lionel: No, where is Serena? Go see if the car is here. SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE

[Everyone panics as Barbara runs outside. She looks but there is no car. She takes out her phone and dials Serena. We cut to Serena on the floor, blood surrounding her as her phone rings]

Barbara: Come on!

[A guest of the wedding runs out]

Guest: Any luck?

Barbara: No, I’m going to the flat, tell Lionel and then get someone to direct the ambulance

Guest: OK

[Barbara steps into a car and you can see her talking to the driver, he drives way. Inside the church, Lionel is trying to give Danny mouth to mouth]

Lionel: COME ON DANNY, don’t die on me! Serena needs you

[He begins compressions]

Lionel: 1, 2, 3 DO WE HAVE ANY DOCTORS HERE? 1, 2, 3

[He gives him mouth to mouth]

Lionel: I don’t care about your DNR, my daughter needs you alive!

[Danny lies unresponsive as we cut to Barbara at the flat. She knocks on the door, it is ajar]

Barbara: Serena?

[Barbara nudges open the door and sees Serena on the floor]

Barbara: SERENA! OH MY GOD, SERENA, my baby...

[She runs over, blood gets on her legs and hands as she cradles a limp Serena in her arms. Barbara is hysterical]

Barbara: No, no...

[She picks up her phone and dials 911]

Barbara: Help me, please, my daughter... she’s bleeding... she’s not breathing

[We cut to another flat, Sarah’s and Sarah is crying]

Sarah: I’m sorry... I’m sorry... I’m sorry

[She’s shaking as she walks over to the window. She looks down at the steep drop. She goes and grabs a chair. Standing on it, she uses the window frame to climb to the edge and she jumps. We hear a thud and the sound of a car alarm and screaming. The screaming continues at Serena and Danny’s flat where an ambulance crew turn up]

Ambulance man: Excuse me ma’am

[Barbara lets go of Serena and the Ambulance guy sees to her]

Ambulance man: Pulse is weak and thread

[The other ambulance guy looks at him. Barbara lunges forward]

Barbara: NO! YOU WILL NOT DO THIS. YOU WILL NOT GIVE UP. THIS IS MY DAUGHTER... I WILL NOT HAVE HER TAKEN AWAY FROM ME, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Ambulance man: Ma’am...

Barbara: NO! NOW YOU TAKE HER TO HOSPITAL AND YOU SAVE HER... PLEASE... SAVE HER

[The ambulance men nod at each other and lift Serena onto a stretcher. Her gorgeous dress is smeared with blood and flows off the side of the stretcher. An ambulance team arrive at the church]

Ambulance lady: OK what’s his name?

Lionel: Danny

Ambulance lady: OK, Danny... can you hear me?

[The ambulance lady shakes Danny to no response, she takes his pulse]

Ambulance lady: We have a pulse

[Lionel sighs with relief as the ambulance crew take Danny away. He follows them to the courtyard and gets in the ambulance. Cut to Barbara in Serena’s ambulance where the ambulance man is shocking her]

Ambulance man: Clear!

[He shocks her to no avail]

Barbara: Serena, darling, fight! Fight! I CANNOT LOSE YOU

[Barbara begins sobbing once more as we cut to Lionel’s Ambulance]

Lionel: Daniel, can you hear me? Daniel?

[Danny begins to fit]

Lionel: DO SOMETHING

Ambulance lady [driving]: Hey..

[The ambulance guy she’s with leans over as she whispers into his ear. He turns to Lionel]

Ambulance guy: Sir, we just called the hospital, were you aware that this gentlemen had signed a DNR?

Lionel: He didn’t mean it, he was scared

Ambulance guy: Sir, it’s against the law to go against his wishes

Lionel: LOOK AT HIM! HELP HIM!

[Danny stops fitting and the monitor starts bleeping]

Lionel: FOR GOD’S SAKE HELP HIM

[Lionel walks over and begins compressions on Danny]

Ambulance guy: Sir, it’s illegal

Lionel: I won’t give up!

[Lionel resumes compressions once more and the monitor bleeps again and Danny’s pulse is back up. Compressions on Serena also resume as her monitor bleeps to]

Ambulance guy: WE GOT A PULSE

Barbara: Thank god...

[Both Ambulances turn into the hospital at the same time, there are a team of doctors waiting. The ambulances both pull up and Lionel and Barbara both get out at the same time. They look at each other as Serena and Danny are wheeled out]

Lionel: SERENA, OH MY GOD...

[Lionel runs over as the Ambulance lady pulls her out]

Barbara: They said she’s been stabbed... she has a pulse... but the baby... oh my god, danny?

Lionel: He just collapsed

[Both Serena and Danny are wheeled into the hospital and into trauma rooms next to each other. We cut to Serena’s trauma room]

Doctor: Female, pregnant, stab wound to the lower abdomen

[Another doctor walks in]

Doctor #2: Get me a sonogram machine

[A nurse wheels it over as the other Doctor works frantically]

Doctor: We need to stop the bleed

Doctor #2: I need to check the babies pulse

[Doctor #2 scans Serena’s stomach, she takes time to listen]

Doctor #2: No, nothing. The foetus took the brunt

Doctor: Who would stab an unborn baby?

Doctor #2: It’s sick

[Doctor #2 leaves the room and we cut to Danny’s trauma room]

Doctor: OK, we’ve got the concentrate on getting this pulse up without using special measures. His pulse has strengthened with IV fluids

[A nurse fixes Danny’s IV]

Doctor: Check airway...

[As the Doctor leans in, Danny begins fitting again, his pulse drops. Cut to outside the trauma room]

Lionel: I’m speechless

Barbara: I felt it in my gut, something was strange

Lionel: You can’t blame yourself

Barbara: Then who can I blame? Our daughter is lying...

[Barbara sobs]

Lionel: And Daniel... I am so fond of that boy

Barbara: I know he was ill but that boy had nothing, nobody... yet he seemed happy. Even with cancer

Lionel: They made each other happy

Barbara: God, let them live...

[Inside Danny’s trauma room they managed to stop the fitting]

Doctor: Page the oncologist

Intern: Is this the metastasis?

Doctor: It’s caused a brain haemorrhage. We’ll try him on Prophylactic anticonvulsants but if he seizes again...

[The intern and the doctor look sadly at each other, in Serena’s trauma room they are transfusing blood. A doctor goes outside to speak to Barbara and Lionel]

Doctor: Hi

Barbara: Hi

Doctor: We had a neo-natal surgeon check the health of the baby and sadly, the knife cut right through the uterine wall and the sac and the baby didn’t survive

Lionel: What about Serena?

Doctor: She’s lost a lot of blood and we need to perform a hysterectomy to try and stop the bleeding, however, we cannot move her until she stabalises

Barbara: What are her chances?

Doctor: I’m sorry ma’am, we’re doing our best

[The doctor goes back into the room, as she swings open the door, Serena’s monitor bleeps again. Barbara runs in]

Doctor: Get me the paddles

Barbara: NO

Doctor: Push 10 of Adrenaline

Nurse: Ma’am you shouldn’t be in here...

Doctor: Clear!

[As Serena’s body rises from the shock, we see Danny is fitting again]

Doctor: He’s fitting!

[The doctor tries to stabalise him but suddenly blood shoots from his ear and the heart monitor alarm sounds rapidly]

Doctor: Damn it! Swaps, WHERE IS THE ONOCOLOGIST?!

Nurse: There’s only one on call and he’s in surgery

Doctor: Then get me a neurosurgeon

Intern: Can we not to do burr holes

Doctor: In this instance they’d have opposite effect...

Intern: Then what do we do?

Doctor: Pray...

[Cut to Serena’s trauma room]

Barbara: Please god... please....

[They shock her again]

Doctor: Push 10 more adrenaline

Nurse: Do you want to intubate?

Doctor: No, it’d be too risky

[Serena’s alarm beeps loudly as a nurse ushers Barbara out the room. Lionel is looking inside Danny’s. He turns to Barbara, they both have tears in their eyes. Cut to Serena’s room]

Doctor: CLEAR!

[They shock her again. Cut to Danny’s room, he has stopped fitting but has flatlined. Cut to Serena’s room]

Doctor: Charge to 300! CLEAR

[They shock Serena once more but to no avail. We see both doctors in both rooms take a step back]

BOTH DOCTORS: Time of death, 16.25

[Lionel and Barbara break down as the monitors are turned off. We fade to white and suddenly we’re sent back to Danny’s high school. There, Danny stands. He holds his hand out. Serena grabs it]

Serena: Don’t be scared

Danny: You know what his means, right?

Serena: It was always going to end this way

Danny: What do I do?

Serena: You walk with me

[Serena and Danny walk down the corridor and in each classroom there is someone who has died from Danny’s past. He looks as he sees them. He walks near the end and turns to see Alexis. Serena stops and let’s go of his hand]

Serena: Go

[Danny steps forward and out of the shadows steps Nate]

Nate: Hi

Danny: Hi

[They kiss and we fade to white]

Not what i expected, Sarah commited suicide, I knew that Danny and Serena was both going to die but didint think they would die next to each other. The last bit at the bootom when Danny and Serena are in the hallway I never got that bit but besides that it has been a great series i wil +rep you
