That is also untrue , as I went into the help desk before the trialists were announced and there was about 18 people in there![]()
Josh you're getting merked down by Shar, you gonna take this? :S:S:S
Haha
Oh and I forgot to add, I do think there should be seperate applications for our "international" users. As someone said previously, 2 intl. applications will be easily lost in a stack of 60 UK ones..
Might be an idea to have a special week hiring people who live out of the UK - then events, hxl, forum and hxhd can all be re-stocked with around-the-clock people!![]()

Good morning!
In my dream world I would have 6 American staff 6 from Australia and 8 from Europe. However Shar and myself cannot force people from those regions to apply for HxHD. If the department had an apt for being more popular in international times like HxL does then we would open up some variant of international applications. However as it presently does not it would make no sense to do this and have three users apply in which we could hire none of them.
As for turning a blind eye to quality and giving the go on some user's applications simply because they are international (and sorry Alex I'm not sure what else to call them but you are totally right in that we need a new name) is completely out of the question. Yes location is a contributing factor as to who is hired but it is an extremely small one because other attributes are more important, such as consistency and maturity, helpfulness and how Habbo smart they are, reliability which includes a huge trust factor, and of course the intelligence of the individual. I would much rather hire those based off the merits of their application than their location when they are not qualified to be staff in other areas. In this thread there are posts discussing how able our staff are and if we began ignoring staff quality altogether we would greatly reduce the quality of help given, and certainly make the gist of HxHD very unprofessional not to mention even more stir and confusion it would create surrounding room bans and rule enforcement. Additionally our greatest fan base is situated around the UK and as the climate has changed within HxHD and at Habbox in general due to the time of year we have had resignations and less visitors as guests shifted their attentions towards school. Shar and I needed to be concerned about simply maintaining a small group of staff worthy users before having the luxury of being able to pursue international recruitment.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

I regularly pop by nowadays and you can't expect people from outside the UK to apply of they won't even know was the HXHD is, hence resulting in a chain of not knowing what Habbox is. As promotion on Habbox, and this isn't just HXHD is still way too UK orientated if you want a truly international fansite. Many of the North American users would go to other fansites which are much more friendly for their timezones and actually don't die off, in terms of forum, events etc. after 1 am UK time. It's been said before, discussed but it's still in the same situation.
Former: HabboxLive Manager, Asst. HabboxLive Manager, International HabboxLive Manager, Asst. HabboxLive Manager (Int.), Asst. News Manager, Debates Leader (numerous times) and 9999 other roles, including resident boozehound
HabboxLive still gain a lot of international listeners so Habbox is getting international people on the site. If the help desk was busy during international times with staff/visitors and HabboxLive listeners then people would be attracted to the help desk. I know it's quite hard to stand out as a help desk now with all the hotels being merged so there's obviously going to be help desks which have been around or are more focussed towards USA/Australia etc. But if you worked something out to get people in there then i'm sure you would get rid of the problem of them not applying.Good morning!
