thats what i've built my character to be lmao, just need to welly my sneak up more, maybe get the chinese stealth armour from hoover dam

LMFAO technologic, i'm so thank full for auto saves, uno when that "freeside thug" just pops round a corner to shank you well i saw the red marker than just went to iron sight aim and ended up shooting a king who was attacking him, which got the kings onto me & the body guards

Im not sure if the chinese stealth armour still has the same effect, just without the stealthboy appearence best have i can't crit hit deathclaws easily without it

im too lowlevel to attempt to get the suit. I'm only level 13 atm and I think you see them at 14+(?) if so I'll try the c4 reverse pickpocket trick

• These suits of armor only spawn on New California Rangers, who usually spawn in NCR territory beginning at level 14.
• This armor can be found at Ranger Station Delta. You would have to kill the Ranger wearing it. The easiest way to accomplish this without killing everyone in the area is to acquire Boone as a follower and attack the Ranger and quickly holster your weapon. If all goes well Boone will attack the Ranger causing him to flee. Once the Ranger has run far from the station you and Boone can kill him together and acquire his Armor and weapon. Usually the Ranger carries a very rare and powerful weapon such as the Ranger Sequoia and the brush gun. Alternatively, if the player is capable of instantly killing the NCR Veteran Ranger with a single shot (Most likely while in sneak) the player can fast travel to a non-NCR occupied zone as soon as the ranger dies, and then wait 24 hours. No reputation is lost, and the player is free to return to the corpse to loot.
• Also can be found in Camp Golf. If you have a powerful weapon with a suppressor mod, you can wait until the troops go to sleep. Simply wait until one is alone and then kill him. The unique BB gun Abilene Kid LE BB Gun is an excellent choice for this, or a silenced sniper rifle (in moderate to good cond). You can net 1-4 sets of armor easily (2 others are available, but those rangers tend to hang around other npc's and leave little opportunity for stealth kills).
• Very easily obtained inside the Camp Golf mansion with the Mr. Sandman Perk. Choose to wait until around midnight while inside the mansion and then follow the NCR Rangers upstairs. After the NCR Rangers have laid down crouch to enter sneak mode and with your status as hidden choose to murder a Ranger. You won't receive a faction loss and you can obtain up to 4 pieces of armor and various weapons. Alternatively you could reverse pickpocket C4 into their inventory easily here but make sure you leave any companions on the first floor of the mansion.
• The best way of getting this armor without getting attacked, or losing faction points is to do the following. Do reverse pickpocketing and plant C4 on the ranger, and detonate, you lose no rep points and any other NCR people will not attack you or anything. A word of caution though, the Rangers tend to get launched extremely high in the air, and you may have trouble finding their corpse, so if best explode them in doors or near a wall to stop them flying to far.
• Another place to find it is at Camp Forlorn Hope.
• It is possible to get the armor through reverse pickpocketing. For this use, see planting items.
• Faction armor can be worn to prevent getting bad reputation when killing a ranger.
• If you become hated by the NCR, Ranger hit squads come after you and one of them may wear the armor.
• If you are friendly with NCR and wish to be so, the best way to get a suit of this armor is to get Legion armor/wear it and use a high powered/silenced weapon to sneak attack critical headshot a ranger wearing the desired armor at Ranger Station Delta at night.
• If you can spare an stealth boy and some C4 you can place a live C4 in the rangers inventory and blow it up from a safe distance without losing fame or getting shot, just leave your companion behind and don't blow up some quest related NPC.
• An easy way to obtain the armor is to go to Ranger Station Alpha once you're level 17. There will be a Veteran Ranger (who also has a Ranger Sequoia) in front of the tents. Go to the hills behind the tents and use a sniper rifle while hidden to kill the Veteran Ranger. I did it in two shots with no loss to my NCR Reputation.
• For those looking for a way to obtain the armor without having to kill a ranger personally, continue with the main quest until you reach the mission where you have to protect the president. Disarm the bomb on the vertibird, then go speak to Ranger Grant. He'll cancel the president's speech. Now quickly get behind the stage where the speech is being made. A moment later, a sniper will take out an NCR Veteran, while the rest flee with the president. Grab the armor before the body disappears. One completely guilt free way of obtaining the armor.
• During the quest Restoring Hope when you have to go and meet sergeant cooper he will be accompanied by multiple New California Rangers. Go into the hills surrounding them and simply shoot one in the head while hidden. This will net you the armour and no loss to your NCR reputation.
• With a suppressed sniper rifle you can kill a Ranger at Camp Golf with or with out armor piercing rounds. To not get caught or lose Karma, duck in the upper right corner of the second ramp leading up to the Resort. There should be 3 Rangers sitting in chairs or standing up(they move in a pattern, so if they move they will go back there). Make sure you're hidden before you shot(don't have a companion with you). Then aim for the head or chest. Note: it doesn't matter what time of day you do this as long as there are rangers there
