Bleach has been put on hiatus due to the mangaka's health.

Nah seriously though, it's probably just been delayed due to christmas.

Saw some screens of (what I believe to be) 340 raw. Looks like Ichigo and Ulquiorra but we knew that anyway from 339 and looks like Rukia is going off against the head of the Hueco Mundo equivalent of the Mobil Corps.
Anyway. It's out on Wednesday as usual (raw) and then translated for Thursday, again as per usual. Just a week off for the holidays
Oh and you took 10 years off my life pretending Tite Kubo was ill. You started reading the volumes from that massive set yet?

I've only read the first volume so far. It's actually bringing back a lot of good memories from when I first starting watching Bleach, and witnessing the Soul Society arc again will be a treat. I'm gonna pay in some money tomorrow, and then buy Bleach 23 - 25. Checks take like three days to clear though I think, so I'll have to wait 'til friday. Which is a pain. Have you read all of the manga? Or did you just pick it up from where it left off when the fillers started? That's what I did at first, but then I decided that if I was going to read the manga, I want to start from the beginning.

No I went back to the beginning too. It's great going through the SS arc. Some scenes come across much better too I felt because obviously they can asign whole page spreads to one character for something much more iconic. The small intros by the author are quite funny too.

Have you read it all up to 339 then? What's Ichigo vs Grimmjow like in the manga? Their first fight. I so wanna read that part, but I want to wait 'til I actually get to it. Also, I agree. Scenes often come across better in manga because of the way they're constructed, and the double page spreads. Damn, do I love those double page spreads! I bet theres gonna be one for Ichigo's bankai, I actually can't wait lol. The double page spreads in Death Note were epic as hell. Poor Watari though, only got half a page when he died but L got like 3 whole pages of him falling off a chair. Claymore has some really decent double page spreads as well.

Ye I think I must've read it up to 339. The grimmjow fight is brilliant, the anime serves it well but it is very good in the manga too. Don't worry about the 2 page spreads either, they come up for everything. I seem to remember Urahara having many whole pages dedicated to him and his 'look'.
I remember that with Watari! He totally wasn't given enough respect. In the live action films though, I think when L. died he had a picture of Watari in his hands.

Just ordered volume 23 and 24 from Amazon, along with volume 1 of Gintama. By the looks of the covers, volume 23 is Ikkaku's bankai and volume 24 is Grimmjow vs Ichigo. Woohoo!

That said, I wish L and Watari's relationship was explored more in the anime/manga.

Also, new Bleach chapter is out I think. Doesn't look like much of a chapter, however. I hate the 20 page restrictions.

It strikes me as somewhat implausable that Ichigo survived a cero square on without his mask whereas before, even with it he was easily defeated by Ulquiorra. All those Kurosaki-kuns keep him strong as an oxe.

In Sonic Unleashed the Perfect Dark Gaia lets out a Cero, seriously your this transformer block and it shoots cero at you.
