Forums Have A post rank and a Rep Rank, Why the hell would you have 2 Post Ranks, and how can a post rank reflect on poist qualty, i and gomminc bother gained rougly 6000+ posts without spamming at all, while some idiots now inhabiting have 300 posts which are entirly spammish crap, same as those with 10000 =.=

I agree with Mentor, but not as strongly.

I only have 1,360 posts but I've been a member since the end of 2004 and I get no reward for putting up with the WUM's who come and spam (that is not infered at everyone with a high post count), and they even get rewards for it?!

IMO we should get rid of the post count stat completely as it will stop spammers trying to beat each other, and make some sort of loyalty reward.

I dont like the idea.

This system will encourage spam. The rep system rewards good posts, and that is all this forum needs. Spam is the last thing this forums need considering so many people do it.

I've owned several, I moderate the vBulletin.org forum and know that this modification will not be possible without custom hacks being present.

All rewards have same problems, u do it for how long there here maybe? Someone may have registered last year and never come back, another will have been on everyday loyaly posting? but only joined a month ago, the system would give the year old no show more satrs for loyatloy than the loyal one if that sort of system were in place. They all have flaws

Then you may be familiar with the name DarkWaltz4? I customised this hack to my VB forum back in Version 2.0.0 and I could easily do it again for the current version.

Oh and and woe, it's not quite, they only have 3 star things, it repersents their satus on the website, Bronze, silver and gold. (Like V.I.P).

It's perfectly do-able.

Edit: There doesn't have to be rewards for the postings! It was just an IDEA. God.
