I suppose I'll start with what Ostinato said, as I can remember that best. I completely agree, and hold that view myself and always have done. If you've even got half a brain you'll use protection etc, and if you want to keep the relationship going you'll make sure your partner is ready first.

The person who said the thing about law, I personally dont believe the law has any significant input into your decision, or at least shouldn't. The law is there as a guideline, and although it is actually a law, no-one is looking for underage people who have had sex and is locking them all up. the law is merely there so brainless people who thing they're hard (chavs) don't go and get pregnant (not that it's stopped many chavs yet, but you can only hope).

But this of course is not counting religion. If you religion doesn't permit it, don't go against it. It is primarily your choice which religion, if any, you follow, and since you have chosen it yourself, you should follow the rules. You cannot call yourself a true follower otherwise.

My personal opinion is you are never too young past about 13 when you have at least started puberty, but don't go and waste your first time. Make it special, plan it if needs be and make sure it's something you can remember for the rest of your life as a good thing. You only have one shot at a first time. Aside from that, go for it, let it happen and enjoy it.

And in case you haven't already guessed, no, I'm not, and I don't care what anyone else thinks. Im happy with my decision and even if i wasn't, i can't change it now.

And just in case you wanted to put that into context, I'm 14, so please take my advice if you want, but don't use it as a concrete law.

To answer the question, no I'm not, has happened many hundreds of times but with the same girl every time, and I'm proud of that. I'm not into sleeping around, and I'm glad that I found someone that mattered to me before I got dragged into the world of meaningless teenage drunken sex.

read most posts, what i don't understand is people that expect to marry someone and do the right ol' white wedding for the angels and lose it on their honeymoon? meyaz, you live in scotland not heaven. I doubt you'll find a virgin after 20 unless you start targeting computer geeks... and when you plan a wedding for iunno.

i truthfully think curiosity & general... sexual-ness won't keep you tided over till 25-30 year old for a marriage.

And, what appauls me is people that are practically pensioners but still like a teenager, get off people's backs it's their life to ruin, their virginity to lose. It's sex not a bloody space shuttle landing.

i agree in the right person etc but i don't agree with people practically getting witch hunting back in action for people who've lost their virginity at a lower age.

I know someone who's 14 and he lost his virginity at 12... he could count his sexual partners in his 2 hands. Problem is... the girl's he aims for [no offence to them] are girl's most guys would beat with a stick if they begged nevermind go near. or that's only me.

People should climb back down from their little warped world and notice they're in a world where if a truthful survey was hosted from 12-16 year old's the majority WOULDN'T be virgins. Yea, wait for the person that it feels right with, but live life. make mistakes. learn from your mistakes, work. die.

Allan if you're ashamed of being a virgin at 15 you need to reconsider your thoughts on the subject. Yes, sex is something enjoyable (very much so) but it's not something that you should just throw around. People will say "Oh, you're young, you should be out playing the field" and such, but I don't believe in that one bit. If you've been with 50 girls by the time you're 18, any future girlfriends (long-term who actually care about you at least) may have a hard time coming to terms with it. I'm not saying you shouldn't enjoy female company (or male if you prefer), but you should be careful and not just get with anyone who's wet and willing.
