    Default lololol

Punk rock is an anti-establishment rock music genre and movement that emerged in the mid-1970s
And guess who the first MAJOR band is who are classed as punk?

The Ramones, who actually influenced the Sex Pistols

    You really should learn more.
    Lolololol.
That is an opinion. I own many DVD's on the sex pistols, and have done a little research for this little "argument".
The fact that you say the Sex Pistols were influenced by the Ramones is a mere opinion. The Sex Pistols claim that their "influence" was their current situation; the government at the current time, etc.
If you would like to learn more, perhaps you would care to look up the movie made on the sex pistols : "The Filth and the Fury".
Perhaps you will learn some things.
Also, in your little definition, it states "anti-establishment". The ramones were hardly that. Jhonny from the ramones was PRO-Bush, and his party.
He was all for the government.

+rep for stating your point of view.

Bush wasn't in office whilst the Ramones were playing punk.
Infact, not even Bush Snr was in office, nor considering running for president.

Once people stop thinking all punk has to 'anti-establishment' they enjoy it more.
Personally I don't enjoy people whining at me for 3 minutes about their political leaning. Crazy!

    Sex Pistols are lame.

punk is ****. but who cares?
some of you need to go back to reading wikipedia.
i used to rape bands like the pistols and ramones and you grow out of it like everything.
they were a great band who made their money and dissapeared from the scene after sid's demise.
yeah they weren't musically blessed, but they had passion and they sure expressed it in their music?
it's more than most "punk" nowadays.
    good charlotte are ****.

What? Bush? Not even the first Bush got into office until 1989. And who influenced the Sex Pistols isnt an oppinion, its a fact. It can be proven.
