Are we talking academics here or general brain power? Academically for example I gave up long ago because of motivation and just couldn't see the point when I was already doing far better than most others without trying. That did of course mean I later fell from being absolute top dog, but by then I didn't care
In terms of understanding and creativity though I pride myself on being well up there - I have a great capacity for poetry and writing (which a lot of the time isn't understood by the people who read it, who just like it because it rhymes or has a pretty word
) and my debating/discussion skill is as fantastic as .. well, me in general.
I will graciously bow down to the greater academic achievements of many others, so I'm certainly not going to say I'm the most intelligent person to ever live, but let's change this to innate intelligence and natural talent so I can win sounds good to me
