The only way you solve discrimination is by tackling it head on. People's attitudes take time to change and to change majority influence you need to keep a consistent fight up. If gay couples resist having children just due to worries about bullying then the problem will never be solved, and in my opinion the joys of having a child are far outweighed by a relatively minor period in their life. And many many people nowadays grow up in single parent families with only one role model, many of those turn out perfectly fine. I really think the whole "other sex role model" is a completely redundant issue in today's society.

But then look whats happened due to the erosion of marriage and the breakdown of family, we've ended up with unmarried mothers who are, to quote 'married to the state' - the children of those mothers then get the idea that a stable family doesn't matter, and the state will simply support them if a relationship breaks down. But i'm in two minds anyway, I do think gay marriage should be allowed as I don't think it is the business of the state (provided places of registry and Churches wish to perform it) but in my view, I don't view gay marriage as equal to a hetrosexual marriage.

The same applies to relationships, the hetrosexual relationship is the embodiment of the family whereas the homosexual relationship is not.

Torture should be allowed in certain circumstances and I mean extreme circumstances.

If I knew someone had planted a bomb and the only way I could get them to admit it was by torture, then I'd do it.

The problem with terrorism is they don't follow the rules, there often are no rules, and I know people claim that if we torture, and break the rules, we become like them, but if we don't, we could maybe become in danger

I'm also a fan of all the conspiracy crap but I do believe we need some monitoring. The problem is people complain about invasion of privacy and bla, and you can go too far, but if because of the invasion of privacy issue, people didn't notice a certain someone doing something e.g. a terrorist, the government would then get complained at for not monitoring enough.

A lot of this stuff is really a loose, loose situation. I believe if you want safety you have to give up some freedom, and if you want freedom you have to accept a certain degree of danger
