You can arrest someone on the suspicion of murder. They have charged them because they clearly have some evidence or he has admitted to it. Or even hinted towards a big change in the case... they won't release the full details to the media now, if ever. Originally Posted by GoldenMerc

Perhaps there's a possibility that there has been a body found but her family has requested it not to be made public?
Like, they might not feel happy that the public know about their daughters death or something.
