Blink 182 IS NOT punk

they are pop-punk, or even pop rock.

Even though punk isn't my favourite music, I know a few bands

these bands ARE punk:
Rancid
The Casualties
Dropkick Murphys
The Clash
The Ramones
The S.ex Pistols

Punk isn't as good as Rock though. Better than Rap and Pop though.

You guys are repeating yourselves by saying who's punk and whos not.
It all depends on our surrondings, I live in an area highly concentrated with Mexicans, I said I liked The Eagles, and The Killers, the now classify me as goth. So it depends on the surrondings.

You have to understand that this is an argument that has lasted as long as punk has existed... who is punk and who is not punk... it's the essance of the idea. Many bands have fought to get into the category only to become poser outcasts because they actually tried.

And you were classified for being goth because of the killers. It doesn't depend on surroundings... it depends on education of the subject.

When I said compare Green Day to Clash I meant Green Day putting away their childish antics and focusing on more serious political songs... ala the Clash.

And that'd put you in the Britney Spears group (off-topic: Hit Me Baby One More Time is the scariest song to listen to backwards... Sleeeeeeeeeeeep with me I'm not too young)

And as for my favorite punk band... Black Flag... followed by the Stooges.

Goddd that's scary that song. I checked a few songs like that out the other day, including the Pokemon Rap which says something like "Hail Satannn Hail Satannn".

Spidey dear, you don't know that much about music if you don't think Green Day were and still are slightly punk. Blink 182 are also punk...just not that great.
