I liked the comedy and the animation was real nice. There wasn't that much action but when there was it was immense. I also liked the switch between comical and serious. Reminded me of how Gintama does things.

On an entirely different note... I discovered that Oasis weren't the only English band to have their song in an anime opening. Speed Grapher uses Duran Duran's 'Girls On Film' for it's second opening. Its actually reeeeeeally good! One of the best openings I have ever seen, infact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2_nz2K2S4A

yea ive seen that before, and yea the series does act like that serious to comical sometimes a little both. The animation however. newer eps look good but obviously the older eps dont look nearly as good but good for there time. I don't knw if tate did movie 6.. But tate animation seems to be like that.

So.. do you like Kazuya Nakai as Zoro then lol

I like Kazuya Nakai as everyone he does, haha. He always plays the sword skilled badass; Hijikata, Zoro, Mugen, Date, etc. He is probably the biggest reason I'd want to watch the series. You just gotta love Kazuya.

I recommend it. Eden of the East is a fantastic series, with some of the best character development I've ever seen in an anime. It's a mystery/drama, with a little romance, comedy and action here and there. Great story and interesting characters.
