Never knew she actually worked at Habbo before but I do agree that this is an old interview so isn't really related :S

[QUOTE=J-Raviv;7566208]Not always. For the under-aged people, yeah, but then the moderators don't do enough to close the cybering rooms, firstly, or to stop the graphic, violent, pornographic talk.

i get what your saying and yes mods need to get to work on doing their job efficiently but again parents should always be watching what their child is doing if they don't want them going on webcam to strangers etc set up a password for it so they have to come to you to use it etc

Sulake lost their way, when they relaxed the rules.

I never understood why dating rooms and rooms with names that entice the loneliest and possibly the most vulnerable of players was acceptable. There needs to be far better education on using sites like Habbo, but what good is educating, if the morals of the site are poor?

We may all speak English, but it may as well be Swahili. Moderation should be carried out by staff from the countries that the majority of Habbos register from. So if 50% of players are UK based, the same should apply to moderation. Moderators need to be able to clearly understand the language used. I’m all for improving the unemployed situation here in the UK, providing they pass the necessary checks.

Employ the right staff to ensure that the Hotel is a safe and friendly environment, for people of every age, and not just 13+. I always felt Hobbas did a great job, so I never understood why they were removed, and if was for security reasons it didn’t work.

As for the muting, I imagine they have no other immediate tool to use, while they work on changing the filters and any further modifications. They obviously have a fear of losing income and players whilst they sort themselves out, when what they should be doing is closing the Hotel posting a message claiming they are doing necessary maintenance work, and try to rescue what is now tarnished. Unfortunately the media have blown this out of proportion, but I don’t think Sulake have done enough to prevent it from happening. They simply weren’t guarding the Hotel.
It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!

And now Habbos are sticking up for Paul when just last week they were making the same complaints, the same ones tehy've been making since the merge! I don't understand it one bit.
Yea I have complained about moderation in the past, even tweeted him about it but the report angered me and was an unfair attack on them. It was completely exaggerated and they were making it seem like this type of activity was all that went on. It is confined to a select number of rooms and you know fine rightly there are thousands of perfectly acceptable rooms. The reporter removed the filter and went to those rooms. Where was it mentioned that habbo run safety campaigns and work alongside other organisations? Habbo are guilty of skimping on moderation and encouraging dating but it is not as bad as they portrayed.

We merged in 2010. Before the merge, we had original, local mods, and we were getting SG mods. Then after merge it was just SG.

come on paradice, it isn't like you do be AGAINST a habbo staff member, least of all the big boss??? I take it you don't like the taste of his butt hole as much as some of the others?

at least he has started tweeting again attempting to reassure his community and, to give him some credit, he did remove the posts about crisp moderation and becs after he realised what an idiot he was

lets hope this mute is sorted within the next few days or people will start moving to other sites like secondlife and IMVU.... now those are paedophile havens.

I've been in rooms outside dating rooms to see others being verbally abusive for quite some time, and moderators don't intervene. I've seen people being sexual in non-dating rooms, as well. People tried to cyber in Plah's and my Habbo school.

When was the last time Habbo ran a safety campaign? During Habboween, but it was hardly a safety promotion lol... :\ They did IPOS and some other group, engen or something... Unrelated to Habbo. only one was staying safe online and that was exclusive to Singaporeans.

It is as bad as they portrayed it. Maybe not to you, but to many others definitely. Especially parents that should be concerned, thinking Habbo is safe and their kids aren't exposed to these dangers.

Even safety experts have agreed with this, after they have even witnessed and investigated it for themselves!

How are they supposed to know what their children are doing 24/7?

Habbo shouldn't be allowing it end of.

Of course you are. What sort of a good CEO would have his company as headline news two days in a row, trending on Twitter, have two multi-national investors pull out totalling 28% of Sulake and threatened with closure?

Let's also not forget that he's declined interviews, failed to address the issues quickly (hence why the investors have jumped ship) and his Twitter account is just full of bitterness towards the news rather than understanding and apologetic.

As CEO he's responsible for it all, the cost cutting measures and changes in filter, advertising etc which led to the mess in the first place. It's foolish to think he is anything other than a "bad CEO" right now.
