Basic gameplay

Contestants are working together in a variety of tasks to win prizes to the group prize fund. 1 of these contestants has been randomly selected to be the Mole.

The Mole is secretly working against the rest of the group, trying to sabotage the tasks and win the prizes for themselves to add to the Mole’s prize fund. The Mole is provided with the information and answers needed for each task in order to help them sabotage each task.

Whilst completing the tasks, the other contestants will need to keep a look out for suspicious behaviour to help them identify the Mole. The closer you are to finding out the Mole, the longer you will survive in the competition.

After every 3 tasks contestants will need to complete an Execution Quiz. This is a multiple-choice quiz that asks questions to see if you know the identity of the Mole based on the gameplay in the latest tasks. Execution Quizzes must be completed before the deadline, otherwise the contestant scores 0 on this quiz.

The players who are furthest away from the identity of the Mole will be executed and will be out of the game and cannot take part in the future tasks. If there is a tie for who should be executed, the Mole will decide who to execute and eliminate from the competition.

In the final Execution Quiz, the player who is closest to the identity of the Mole will win the group prize fund. If there is a tie, we will look at the results from the latest Execution Quiz and count back until we have a winner.

The Mole

The Mole is aiming to win the Mole’s prize fund. This is all the prizes that the group failed to win.

If the Mole is detected too many times, they will lose all prizes in the Mole’s prize fund. Therefore the Mole will want to remain undetected for as long as possible whilst deflecting any suspicions on to other players.

The Mole is detected if a contestant scores 8 or more on an individual Execution Quiz AND picks the Mole in the final question ‘Who is the Mole?’. If the Mole is detected 15 times over the course of the competition, the Mole will lose and will not win the Mole’s prize fund.

Prizes

The contestants will be playing to win money. This money will be awarded in small increments over the course of the game, but with perfect play, the winning contestant could win £30. Any money that the contestants fail to win is added to the Mole’s prize fund.

During some tasks, there will be various prizes on offer that could change the course of the competition, these include:

Exemption – If a contestant wins an exemption, they are exempt from the next Execution Quiz. They will not be executed but will still answer the Execution Quiz for tie break purposes.

Exemption+ - If a contestant wins an exemption+, they can choose which Execution Quiz they are exempt for. This cannot be used for the final two Execution Quizzes.

Neutralisation – If a contestant wins a neutralisation, they are able to cancel out another players exemption.

Freebie – If a contestant wins a freebie, they score a guaranteed point on the Execution Quiz. Contestants will pick which question they use their Freebie on (some questions may be considered more difficult than others). Freebies cannot be used on the last question of an Execution Quiz and they cannot be used in the final two Execution Quizzes.
