Default These PC specs - Any good?

Got the final specs for my PC, based on some recommendations from another forum (yes, I went elsewhere, don't kill me).

As a reminder. This PC is being used for gaming (DiRT 2), music, Photoshop, and web browsing.

I've gone for an ATX board, for expandability and future upgrade purposes, and will probably be using Windows 7 for an OS.

    They are as follows

    CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 425 (2.7Ghz) -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176042
    Mobo: ASUS M4A77TD Pro -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/171664
    RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR3 1333mhz 2Gb -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169289
(yes I know I'll need more, but I'm skint, 2Gb will be enough to start with)
    GPU: Sapphire HD 4670 512Mb -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173705
    ODD: Samsung SH-S223 DVD-RW -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145450
    HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 500Gb -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146252
    PSU: Coolermaster eXtreme 460w -- http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...440&tid=frooct
    Case: Zalman Z7 Plus -- http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...85&tid=z7-plus

Total comes to just under £360. I CANNOT go over that.
    Any recommendations, please post.

Will all these bits work together though?

You could go with a less expensive case (and get PSU and case from ebuyer to save on shipping unless that cclonline place has free shipping) and put that money into more memory. Apart from that seems like a decent system tbh, although I'm not familiar with that graphics card...

I'd recommend getting a more powerful power supply. It's more likely to last you longer because soon enough that amount of power wont be substantial enough to fit the requirements of most decent machines. Apart from that, it'll all work together

The PSU is fine considering he is running fairly low end stuff. I have the exact same one and am running more power intensive kit no problem.

I'll be honest, the PSU was recommended to me by a techie friend.

RAM wise, I'll probs be getting another 2Gb stick about 2 months afterwards. 2 months on just 2Gb will be fine, I think. If all else fails, I'll ask teh bank of mum and dad LOL

I like the case, so I'd rather stick with that one

    Thanks for help, guys.

Tbh 2GB of ram is fine, I've been using that and rarely encounter any problems except in games but even that isn't massive.

Well, I'll eventually do the upgrade to 4Gb whenever I can afford. and then probably eventually to 6 and 8. Hopefully will build this system end of May/start of June. Yes I know its a way off yet, but I'd rather plan ahead. It's my first build, so fingers crossed it all goes well.

Wow planning ahead that far in advance is a bit pointless, quite a bit can change in 2 or 3 months! You'll probably be able to get more for your money then.
