Default Football Manager 2009 Official Thread

Don't know why I put official lol.
But yeah this thread is so that we don't have to keep doing multiple ones. In this thread you can discuss transfers, matches, leagues, squads and anything else concerning FM09.
In my Leeds game, I'm 12 league games along in my season, and so far I've been reasonably successful, winning 9 games, drawing 1 and losing 2. My 2 losses were to Millwall 1-0, and Peterborough 2-1.

I'll post my squad up later, hopefully it wont be moved because we've got a decent case to have it in the sports forum.

Pritty decent season you've had then.
EDIT: In the first post I forgot to put that I lost a game, 4-3 to Leicester. Was an amazing game, they shockingly went 4-0 up inside half an hour and i pulled 3 goals back only to have a shot cleared off the line in the last minute to deny me a brill comeback .

Fairly **** team, gunna off load Nihat once he's fit again and bring in another striker. Could do with another GK, LB and CB as well.

GK- Sergio Asenjo ~ Valladolid ~ £7.25M min fee release. Young keeper, one of the best in the game.

Just started the 2009/10 season in the Championship as Carlisle.
Won League 1 ahead of Leeds, both got over 100 points
Won the JPT 3-1 against Brighton aet.

In: Steve Jennings (£220K Tranmere), Timothee Atouba (free), Panu Korte (£14K HJK), Gavin Skelton (£50K Kilmarnock), Tom Elliott (£40K Leeds), Michael Bridges (free after loan finished, Hull), Alan Tate (£70K Swansea), Rocco Quinn (£7K Celtic), Dmitri Mihaylov sp? (3 month loan, Liverpool)

Out: Luke Joyce (£120K Doncaster), Josh Gowling (£70K St. Johnstone), Darren Campion (£20K Morton), Evan Horwood (£50K Bradford), Grant Smith (£15K Bradford), Danny Carlton (£50K Accrington Stanley).

That's just from what I can remember I'd highly recommend signing Korte if you can, quality stats and he's only 16 when you start. Might have to wait a while to sign him though as he's reluctant to move.
