    can you use 2.5" harddrives in gaming pcs...

    Yes but you would need like some sort of holder for it to fit in a 3.5" drive bay and maybe a convertor for the connectors.

    Yes, but why would you want to? Would need to buy something to mount it properly inside the case too.

    Well i wanted to mount it behind the floppy disk drive, As i've used all my optical drive spaces so i dont have any room to put any more in really.

    Thats it non wired up i have about 3 2.5 ports left and 1. 3.5 port left which i wanted to add a blueray drive into

    Optical drives go in 5.25" ports. The ones below that are 3.5" ports.

    I think you're getting confused with dimensions?

    3.5s are still faster, in general.

    So in other words im needing a 3.5 hard drive? rather than a 2.5?
    Also i've got all the cables from the power supply and the case but what other cables do i need and how many +rep for help, All the optical drives except the card reader don't have sata cables or ribbon cables so do i just need 3 sata cables (one for floppy disk drive) and ribbon cables?

    You can use a 3.5 enclosure, it's just pointless? as long as it's SATA the cable should be the same.
