Exclamation The problem with owning a .co web address

The amount of spam you get thanks to the people missing the m off the .com version of the address! I had so much spam addressed to this guy I just had to email him and this is what it said:

    Hello Neil,

I am the administrator for Ro******.co webmail accounts and we have been receiving a lot of spam mail addressed to you. I believe you must have missed the m off .com when entering your email into a malicious website. If you wish for me to forward any adverts of Viagra to you from my spam folder please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Dan.
(I blanked out the url cos it's a family name and I don't want even more spam sent to it!)

    It's a hint

So what's the story behind the .co domain? When they mass-advertise domains like this they usually suggest the uses of the domain, like .eu for Europe. I haven't seen anything about .co, unless they think it's a short-handed view on co.uk.

.co was new in 2010. Officially it's columbia's address but they're hoping it will rival .com in the future. So far it's had more domain purchases per month than any other extension.
