SATs are ridiculous Just toi make the school looks good, doesn't actually mean anything about your education..

I was never made to worry about my SATs and that's the way it should be for everyone. If the government removes them it will make no difference - schools will still hold year 9 exams to put people in sets for their GCSEs. What needs to be done is for schools to ensure that they don't put too much pressure on children for SATs.

All exams are about league tables and I htink it is unfair to have different levels for people it should be one paper for all and the grades ranging from level 7 to 4 and for GCSE B to U and have a higher paper for people that get level 5 and above in SATs

They may mean nothing for GCSE technically but they help decide the set you are in. So if you miss out on a grade you want and get put in a set that does a lower paper and you can't get your higher grade.

Yikes, Year 9 SATS... That was some 3 or 4 years ago I did them (I think - left high school last year)

They were easy peasy! If anyone is worrying about their year 9 SATS I suggest you stop it right now. There is nothing to worry about at all. Just do your best, pay attention in lesson and you'll be fine whatever score you get
