How would I work out what B is?
70x92x84xb+864-70,069=20487275
Help?

im pretty sure you would work backwards its kinda like opposites, you would add 70069 to 20487275 and subtract 864 and divide by 84 and divide by 92 and same with 70 to get the answer, the answer would be B=38

Wow, Your clever.. I worked it out, And B actually is 38!
I love maths, But Im only in Year 6. Lol. But I do my brothers homework for maths, And
hes in Year 9, So I must be pretty good! Lol.

Seeing as you're wondering how to do it I'll try and explain what .mcgovlau. said a bit further. You start with:
70x92x84xb+864-70,069=20487275

If you add 70,069 to both sides you get:
70x92x84xb+864=20557344
The 70,069 disappears because you have -70,069 and +70,069.

Now subtract 864 from both sides...
70x92x84xb=20556480

Next, you need to divide by each of the things it has been multiplied by. It doesn't matter what order you do this in. Let's start with 70. Dividing both sides by 70 you get:
92x84xb=293664

Now divide both sides by 92:
84xb=3192

Oh so close now! Divide both sides by 84 and we get the answer:
b=38

Whenever you do these problems ALWAYS make sure you do the same things to both sides or you'll end up in a right mess!
