    Default Quick question [xbox360]

Hey people, well im thinking of getting an xbox 360 console & i want to play online. However im confused as to how i do this.

I have a belkin router which connects one PC up to another & if i bought the wireless adaptor for my new xbox360 and installed this would it pick up my router (belkin) connection automatically?

I'm really not sure how this works so all help is much appreciated and I will + rep you if you can explain how this works for me.

    Thanks.

Is your Belkin wireless? If so then all you have to do is plug the wireless bridge for the Xbox 360 into the back of the 360 console and start trying to search for wireless connections (best to use "Test Xbox Live Connection" for that) and Belkin should come up..

If not then find out certain settings of your Belkin by going on this link and your user should be admin as well as your password as admin Just get the settings off that page and input them into your console and then it should work if you had any problems with the first method.

All I've heard of the Xbox 360 Wireless bridge is that it is one of those plug and play devices and you dont need to do much to set it up, all positive feedback on the Wireless product. Good luck with your router problem and I hope this helps, if not just look at this page on wireless connections with Xbox Live here

That should work if everything fails! =]

Yes, it should work as long as your Xbox 360 is somewhat close to the router.

My Wii is on the other side of the house and it doesn't connect half the time. -.- Then again that's not a 360 but it shouldn't be much different.

Yeh, if you do have a wireless router, then buy the xbox 360 wireless adapter, that will enable you to go on the internet and play your 360 live at the same time. If you don't have a wireless internet router, then make sure you either buy a) the premium pack or b) the core pack but buy a ethernet adapter cable at the same time. Then this will simply plug into your DSL and away you go. Note: xbox live is £5 a month or £40 a year. Hopefully I have helped

Just use the free ethernet cable you get with the pro package.A wired connection is faster than wireless.
