okay i admit gerrard is more important to liverpool
then lampard is to chelsea

I'd say that's it's v. hard to pick a top ten, specially with the outstanding talent shown in modern football. Messi is awesomeee, same with Rooney who is better than he's even been. Ronaldo is still one of the best, Tevez is on firee. Lampard and Gerrard are still world class. Puyol is still hanging in there, Fabregas. Buffon, Cech.

Change Essien or Lampard to gerrard and I'd pretty much agree with the OP.

I cant find career assists for either gerrard or lampard

shows lampard has more assits in his career, however i hadnt added them all up so i could be wrong

Anyone who knows anything about football can see Gerrard hasn't been THE Gerrard this season so using this season's stats alone to compare him to another player is a bit stupid.
