Episode 3 was unexpected...I don't wanna give spoilers but wow.. I think there was 3.2 seconds without any action

Spoilers in spoiler OBV but some of my thoughts:

-Sending the Dothraki was... utterly pointless. The entire lot got massacred in less than a minute which is kinda what happens when you send a few hundred naked dudes against armoured spirits that only exist to fight.

-We saw massive wagons full of obsidian arrive oop norf, and then there are like 6 weapons made from it. It doesn't do any different damage to wights than a normal weapon so it's only good for taking out the big bad walkers... so WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT TRIP TO DRAGONSTONE?

-Why not start the fires AT THE BEGINNING 4god don't think oh shit thousands of our best warriors are dead maybe we'll start defending now. Tyrion is there, isn't he a tactician?

-Same with the dragons: use them tactically. Don't just fly around being chased and shot at, force a chokepoint and have them breathe constant fire into it from behind an armoured wall. Make that out of the obsidian you pointlessly mined if you want.

-Ahahahaha Lyanna getting slapped aside by zombie Wun Wun. Incredible scenes.

-How many millions of times are we going to see someone about to be killed and at the LAST!!! SECOND!!! someone stabs their attacker through the face? It happened like five times in this episode alone.

-How the **** didn't Sam die.

-The wights plodding around the library like they were looking for the social psychology section made me piss.

-Where was zombie Hodor in all this?

legit the entire time my bf and I were like why isn’t Sam dead yet?? He should’ve sat in the crypts with the rest of the non fighters instead of making others save him a million times and end up dying???

All-in-all I liked the episode, but it was clearly designed to be spectacle over all else. It made no tactical sense. Theon and Jorah are two of my favourite characters, and I think they were given fitting ends. Alfie Allen is a tremendous talent. Though they both met sad ends, I think they were both finally at peace. Visually it was amazing and the music was fantastic. My jaw was agape throughout the entire climatic scene, but my reaction afterwards was kind of... Is that it? The Night King died so easily. The very first scene in the very first season introduces the White Walkers. For seven seasons we've been told they're coming. Now they're here... They're gone? The Night King was built up to be the ultimate threat, but now he seems like more of a subplot. I thought there was so much more they could have done, and judging from what we saw in season seven and so far in season eight, I don't really understand why the seasons have been shortened. The pace is so fast now compared to the earlier seasons. It's the biggest TV show in the world, but they seem to be wrapping it up so quickly. I hope Bran reveals some detail next episode, because if they leave the Night King as is and move on with Cersei, as a long-time viewer I am just not satisfied. Let the Night King have his moment!

How shit was Jon in the entire episode all he did was run and hide even Sam did more fighting

Yeah, Jon was a bit aimless. There were some good scenes, but they lacked a lot of substance and emotional weight. The long take of him ambling through Winterfell was a far cry from the one during the Battle of the ****s. I don't really know why he had to ride Rhaegal also. The Dragons have all followed command from Daenerys before, it's not like he needs to be there now. They knew the Night King was going for Bran, and since they know killing him will kill all Wights and Walkers, they should have amassed some forces around the weirwood, but instead they just put Theon there. Sam the Slayer works in mysterious ways. They barely showed him attacking anything, but every time they would cut back to him he would be surrounded by more and more bodies.
