Hey everyone!


OH BOY WHAT A MONTH.

January is always a difficult one, but 2021's opening month has really been a struggle - so thank you to everyone who's stuck it out and made it through with us!

We of course saw the end of Flash finally, and with it the end of Habbo's Flash client as we all moved on to Unity. It's been a rocky road and we're aware that a lot of people have been verrrry upset with many of the changes, but we fully believe that Habbox is here to stay no matter what and we're glad to see the number and frequency of updates coming from Habbo now. Remember everyone: this **is** a beta version and so things definitely won't be 100% functional from the start but we'll get there!

The most important part of January was of course my birthday where I turned 21 yet again... ok let's not go there. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS, HABBOXIANS, here's to a bright and healthy February * + * +

Each month our department managers will send us a nomination for their departments, and General Management will discuss who is most deserving.
There will be up to three winners each month who will be awarded for their efforts with a lovely month of HC!

Without further ado, here are the winners for this month:




@katejw62; has been firing on all cylinders since she got here, and through January has added to her arsenal by taking on Content Design duties, in particular a fabulous refresh of our Habbo guides in light of the many many changes we've seen on Habbo. It's a huge project, and Kate has really sunk her teeth into it like me sitting down to a plate of sausages. Tasty.

@someboyrafa; got a mention in the December SOTM post but missed out on the top spot - this time he's got it! Not only is Tom a great name to have, he's a great member of Help Desk staff who consistently puts in the time and has been noted as being particularly helpful to all visitors - even when he's not on duty! Keep up the good work plsplspls.

You've both won a month of HC, so keep your eyes peeled on your HC status or for a gift!





Unfortunately not all nominations can win a prize, but we do have some honourable mentions to share too!


@tbl; has SEVERAL roles here along with being Competitions Manager, and has also been noted as being extra active on the forums and in the community lately, which is super important for keeping spirits up!



@Mikey; has likewise been commended for his activity since coming back to Hx - he hasn't been staff for long yet this time around but has also been part of the increased hubbub around the forum, which is lovely to see!


@Oivind; is an incredibly talented builder and has taken on the challenges of the new Unity client with gusto and optimism, showing that fabulous builds can still be done and that there is plenty of hope for the future of building!
