I agree, my great aunt just passed away from cancer two weeks ago and in my state assisting is not a thing. She would have been in so much pain in her final couple of weeks but there was only so much they could do. If only this was legal in my state she wouldn't have had to suffer.

My grand dad keeps telling my nana that if he gets cancer or gets sick he would drive his car off a cliff rather than slowly die painfully in hospital. I just close my ears, it is heart breaking and I don't like hearing it.

    Why the healthy?

what if someone claims to be healthy but actually very mentally sick, seeks to be euthanised but in reality they would seriously regret it if they had time/support to heal.

I did not see this happening any time soon - wow. Really support this. With proper precautions of course.

I'm definitely in favour of this! I know there's plenty of support for it so I don't think they'd have much of an issue passing it via parliament.

100% interesting for the "healthy" to be considered. Like in what circumstance would this be allowed? I am not judging more so trying to understand why they would let a healthy person end their life
