I have been to Hawaii, but unfortunately I was very very young, so no recommendations from me Enjoy the sunshine!! What I would do to be on a beach again, instead of looking at the snow outside my window.

Sounds cool, you'll have to go and visit the volcanos for sure - the scenary looks amazing.

One interesting fact about Hawaii that you'll notice is that despite it being a U.S. state, it has the British flag in the corner. This is because although Hawaii was never a British colony, when it was an independent kingdom it adopted the Union Jack in its flag as it believed that having the world's most powerful Empire and naval force represented in its flag would afford it extra protection from being annexed by other colonial powers like America, Spain, Japan, Russia and France.
