This thread is a list of questions we get asked frequently about Habbox Summer Spectacular (HxSS).

Q) What is the "Habbox Summer Spectacular"?


A) The Habbox Summer Spectacular or HxSS is the biggest tournament that Habbox puts on annually. All the departments in Habbox come together to hold 9 days of solid fun which is filled with enormous numbers of events, radio competitions, and special department-based campaigns.

Four teams battle it out in all types of different fun and games to win this year's Habbox Summer Spectacular and the prizes are BIG.

Q) When is it?

A) This year HxSS will start on 9th August 2024 at 9pm BST and will finish on 17th August at 23:59.

Q) I can't attend every date! What do I do?!

A) Don't panic!!!!!! We understand not everyone can attend every day to all of the events. You can come to as many or as little as you like to earn your team some points. Please remember that if you come to more it means you have a better chance at the daily top scorer or overall individual scorer title... but please do remember to sleep!

Q) Who do I PM if I have a complaint/suggestion/question/comment?

A) Send your complaints/suggestions/questions to lawrawrrr, FlyingJesus, ,jamiexo, Rusted!, or tbl if you want it to be private. Otherwise, just post a thread!

Q) Isn't the site/forum too slow to do anything on?

A) Oh god we hope not. We've upgraded our server JUST in time for this HxSS so please keep everything crossed!

Q) How can I become part of a team?

A) You can join one of the teams by joining its very own public group. What you need to do is go to your UserCP then "Permission Groups" (or just click here).

You will then find a list of the team groups and click "Join". You are able to go in any team you wish.

You can only choose ONE team and you must stick in ONE team. Anyone who changes teams will be disqualified and points will be nulled.

Some teams may be closed for registration due to an imbalance of team members, and you'll find that info in the main thread!

Q) Is my team winning? Am I winning?

A) Maybe! Check your team leaderboard by clicking here!

You can see the leaderboard for every member on your team and in the graphic, you can see the total number of points, the place your team is in and how many points your team are ahead and/or behind!

Q) Why should I go to events? My team can just win!

A) We also keep track of individual points, so if you're one of the top scorers for your team, you'll win great prizes along the way!

Q) What can I win by taking part?


A) A lot.

For the last few years well over 10,000 credits get given out for HxSS in various ways, and this year we're looking to repeat the success of previous years with the newer format of prize-giving. We worked our stinky socks off to come up with a new prize split that's rewarding and fair while also hopefully taking the pressure off so that people can... SLEEP.

That's right, this year we really want you to have fun, and part of having fun is staying healthy. Please take care of yourselves!

So the prizes are now somewhat more geared towards short bursts of effort rather than 9 days of non-stop competing - obviously if you still go hell for leather you'll still win BIGGER in the end, but we've upped the prize pool for daily point totals and split it across more winners, like so:

Other prizes

The most obvious other prizes are those you can win with every event - winning the games and the on-air competitions.

You can also win both points AND prizes by entering forum competitions marked with [HxSS] in the title, found here.

There will also be tasks set by each department across the tournament with additional prizes, well worth entering as many of these as you can too!

Q) We love points! We want points! How do we get points?


A) The short answer is "mostly by winning things", but I suspect people will want more information than that, so let's break things down:


Habbo event points

For nearly all events (there are a couple with slightly different rewards like Guitar Hero or Step On It) the host will record not only the winning player in each round, but also second and third place to get points as well - unless of course it's a game where all but 1 player loses at the same time.

First place: 5 points
Second place: 3 points
Third place: 1 point


HabboxLive competition points

Our radio is always super fun and especially so during HxSS! DJs will very often have point competitions live on air, so stay tuned as much as you can for more chances at winning points as they can do up to FOUR every hour. This year, to (slightly) limit how successful people can be without actually playing any games, the prize for all on-air competitions is 3 points per winner.


Hosting and DJing points

Taking part in the games and comps is great, but we also reward those who give their time and effort (and often, their coins) with a set number of points for entertaining us - without hosts and DJs, HxSS just wouldn't happen!

Host a Habbo event: 5 points per hour
1-3 DJ competitions: 2 points per hour
4 DJ competitions: 3 points per hour


Forum competition points

Our fantastic Competitions department are of course pros at making fun little tasks to keep us going, and entering any competition on the forum marked [HxSS] will net you points. Yes, you read that right, even just ENTERING gives you points. Well worth entering every competition that you can.

Enter a competition: 5 points
Win the competition: 5 bonus points (10 total)


Department campaigns

Our fantabulastic managers here at Habbox have made a bunch of additional tasks - because we just can't get enough of keeping you guys busy and entertained! These once again net you points just for entering, and for these super special games there's also a range of bonuses available.

Enter a dept campaign: 10 points
Top prize dept campaign: 40 bonus points (50 total)
2nd prize dept campaign: 20 bonus points (30 total)
3rd prize dept campaign: 10 bonus points (20 total)
