It's exciting enough that you're getting to read my words I know, but just to make it spicy how about a few chunky updates to the world of Habbox? Oh go on then...


Habbox Events

With the Habbox Summer Spectacular coming along in a couple of months, we've got a fresh leadership team in place for events! The lovely @Amethyst; (AmethystCutie) will be heading the department as our new Events Manager, with @AnthonySall21; (iPhone-15) boosting engagement as Senior Events Organiser. These two are really enthusiastic and great to be around, so we're looking forward to life with them at the helm of on-client games, a really well deserved step up for both of them! If you're interested in hosting for Habbox, please get in touch with either of these two who will give you big old Habbox welcome.


Habbox Articles

Probably some time overdue, but we have taken the decision to officially close the Articles department. The system itself will stay in place as we use it for the fabulous badge guides (and sometimes a few bits for HxSS and other events) but it's simply not a department that is used, or that really has a demand in the age of social media. As someone who headed the department for a year and a half I'd like to personally thank everyone who's contributed to it at all over the past two decades!


Habbox Graphics

We're similarly closing Graphics as a separate department - the workload is far far lower than it used to be, and realistically we tend to go direct to a designer when something's beyond our own MSPaint skills! Although the department will no longer exist, we're going to leave @ExtraKen; with the unofficial title of Graphics Manager because he's really quite wonderful to us, but hopefully this relieves any pressure of person management from him while allowing him free reign to be his fabulous creative self.
