Default Fright Nites at Thorpe Park

haha, twas my idea for this forum. So I rule you all! Snyhow, my review on Thorpe Park Fright Nites (last year's)

I arrived with 3 mates at about 1pm, traffic was invisible and a normal 45 minute trip was wittled down to half an hour. After my friends paid 24 quid for a ticket to get in and i paid a tenner on a really random ticket i got off a mate we began the usual walk across the bridge which manages to make you see all the major rides in one look ie. nemisis inferno, collussus and tidal wave and of course samurai - (Recently moved from chessington world of adventures). As a thorpe park addict you start to realise that Thorpe Park isn't the safest place when its open at night. Anyhow back on with the review- i started off with lunch at KFC which at that time on a fright nite was empty as the park is only 1/4 full at about 10 to 1pm. A tip i would give is to get to the park as early as you can get in all the rides and just try tidal wave at the end of the day. After eating a ringer burger jumping on to inferno we got onto the rumba rapids where fun was had by all.

Then it got to get dark....Gangs of teenagers roam the park along with security and police but mainly CSO's and the odd man in riot gear outside the freezer....

What is the freezer you ask?
Allow me to begin....As we strode up prepared for a 2hr que we were given an ultra-violet hand scan to check we hadn't already been on and joined the que. Halfway through the que which leads around the unused kiddys stage is a lovely wax model of a dead man with guts and bones where normally Freddy Fox presents the play on sharing with friends...

After about 1 and a half hours we came up and got in lines of 2 to 5. By this time i was practically peeing myself and made sure i was in the middle. We all thought the 'actors' in there would be in cages. The trauma has left me shaking while i write this.
We entered into a long white corridor and a poster of a blood spattered arrow pointed us into the maze. We entered the dimly lit maze with only strobe lighting to guide us. We were guided around the maze holding onto each others tops as directed by staff. By now there was an air raid siren going off and random screams. All 4 of us walked STRAIGHT into a mirror and screams were shouted all about.
We then turned a corner and found our first actor, he was swinging a chain and had a blood splattered shirt he then said ''im going to F****ing kill you".

We needed to walk past him so quickly trotted past onto our next actor. A cackling women who snuck up behind us, by this time i was whimpering like a girl....She chased us towards a fire exit but after she saw what could happen she kind of ran in the right direction....
We followed her and came to the image that haunts our mind as we turned round the corner a type of lookey-likey of that bloke with the spikes coming out of his knuckles in Xmen (woflgang?) and he exclaimed ''im gonna f****ing stab you in the heart'' i ran and ran until i had actually lost my freinds and just stood there will they caught up. Then as we saw a couple of last actors and had to walk through hanging 'dead bodies' an actor jumped out and said 'feeling a bit sqeamish?'. This was the one actor who i laughed in his face. Then the last two actors one completely egg head man that slowly walked towards me with good effect of strobe lighting and a trickle of blood from his head (gun shot wound). And then the chainsaw man, he was at the end so had a chair to rest on they had replaced the blade with a plastic one so you could really 'smell' the petrol. And as we were walking down the corridor which we thought was all over he managed to creep up behind us and pull it one last time. I ran straight past the whole que whimpering like a girl and a bunch of CSO's burst out laughing. :@

I want to give the circue de freak who provided the actors a big clap
And strongly recomended the high-ish price for going there!

Thorpe Park is a mini version of Alton Towers, I know it much more than my home town so i'd say Thorpe Park is a simpler version, of A.T., but much less commercialised.

is it as well themed as AT?
I think the theming there is ace, especially in forbidden valley [where the ripsaw and nemesis are]

Yes, the theming for Tidal Wave is brilliant, all the food places are done up, and Nemisis Inferno has great scenery. Iv'e visited A.T. and i'd say its about the same, but Thorpe Park focus mainly on the build up to rides, and entry to the park on scenery.

that is the best ride i have ever been on, the freezer

My god i went on it 3 times and i couldnt stop. We broke every rule except for shining lights at stuff. We ran around we attacked an actress. it was crazy.

When the guy gave u instructions we didnt listen and we didnt think it would be actors. so we went in a and this women starts chasing us and my mate pushes her. so she tells him off and these guards come. so we carry on and this like 6ft 5 guy comes towards us and my 2 mates are on thew floor and im standing in a jet lee fight position. then we started running, note dont jump in to those thing hanging from the ceiling. they hare hard and hurt. anways i was addicted and it was funnnnnnn.

every1 thought we was mad when we came out cause we were screamin they got lewis. we didnt know that he had been told off we just carried on and didnt notice. then we thought it was part of the ride like people got split up lol
