Ok so maybe nothing will get as big as google maybe. But a great new search engine is out and great things are in store, take a look at this article i found.

The Next Google has Arrived
Posted by The Newmanium on December 31st 2005 to Technology

We all remember how Google took all competitors by storm when they introduced their spider-run index. With Google introducing vertically-related features almost weekly to retain their falling market share, we can’t help but wonder what will be the next “big thing” in the search engine world.

The search engine in question, which is currently in beta stages, is PreviewSeek (http://beta.previewseek.com/). This company boasts artificial intelligences algorithms organize results in a more logical way. Instead of placing the site with the higher PageRank as the number one result, PreviewSeek (http://beta.previewseek.com/) categorizes them.

For instance, if you search for “tax”, the search engine will give you the following categories: forms, income, department of taxation, relief, etc…

Another major feature this search engine boasts is an MP3 search. This feature most likely designed to find the 30 second trial clips on music sales sites, but if you look - you’ll find plenty of full songs

I feel that PreviewSeek (http://beta.previewseek.com/) will be the next big thing search-wise.

Try it out, when you search it shows you a picture of the site before you go on it, it is a nifty site although its in beta stages.

Lol Its a good find but theres not much of a point trying to catch up with a giant like google. I mean they have expanded into every possible branch they could think of that is available to them and they have done it at will. Google instant messenger is even coming out soon to stand with their email service and they are already hailing that as something to make Msn look embarassed.

Apparently the guy that invented google asked for no money when he sold it. He could have made loads of money.

I thought it was two guys :s When they were in college, they bought all these cheap file servers and kept them in their dorm rooms.

A lot start out by college kids. Like Napster. You know Launch.com? That was invented by a kid in college, not nearly as advanced as it is now, but yahoo payed him millions for it. He probably wont have to work a single day for the rest of his life, and hes probably only in his mid-twenties.

Sure look at the kid who invented www.milliondollarhomepage.com He was lying in his bed thinking of how to make money to pay for his tuition, One pixel costs $10 and he has made well over $1,000,000 by now and there are still places reserved and money to be paid.

It doesnt even take that much brains, any cheeky sod could do it lol. Pure class though, he deserves all that money for thinking of it.

PreviewSeek is too hard to remember.. Google is only 5 letters.

I doubt the un-computer wise people will even remember the second word in 'Preview Seek', whereas everybody can remember 'Google'.

Looking at it, it is a very complex and advanced, search. But cant compeate with google, as google doesnt aim to be avanced.

Googles strengh is its simplicty, it got ahead by striping all the **** out of the search and just doing the essental things.

This site bascly ads all the **** back in, and then one hell of alot more. For basic user, its to much information, and dosnt just tell them what they want to know. Google on the other hand goes straight to it.
So realy its targeting a diffent market to where google is aimed, rather than targting the mainsream this search looks like it will be used more by those who use the internet alot, and can benifit from all the advanced fetures rather than just haveing a large amount of useless infomation.

Athogh i must admit i realy do like the the folder system down the side that sepertaes sites in to sections, thats REALY nice. Athogh thats probaly more becuise im one of the people who live on the internet, aka spend way to much time. So persaonly it looks great, but i dont think its the right approach to gain the mainstream market. Athogh i like it so much ive set it to my serach bar in firefox :D
Althogh on closer inspection the folder system could use a little work figureing out what belongs where, but hey its a beta, and its already nice :D

Your search for saria's song could not find any suitable results.

Please check the spelling or refine your query and try again.
