i have a ds, and of course its great... but i would say the 360, becos if it bores you u can sell it for a ds.. but u can't do it the otherway around - trust me i've tried

Pffft..Xbox360 by far, but depends on what you want it for? they maybe consoles but both suite a different environment. DS is better for taking out whilst traveling, Xbox360 your going to play at home and you'll expect good graphics, better gameplay, more functions and more.

Get a DS then, dude. Thats what I'd do. Online gaming on Animal Crossing and Mario Kart DS is excellent.

360 Is overated sure its next gen but the gameplays **** there are a few good games eg perfect dark zero. As for graphics there good but there not like amazing i mean my friend has one and the graphics werent a great deal better than original xbox

I don't understand the goal of your purchase. :\

For one, you chose two gaming platforms with a very large difference in both performance and price. While the Nintendo DS is a far better candidate for 'On-The-Go' gaming, the Xbox 360 is the best home console.. right now. It all depends how you're planning to use it.

Also, I highly suggest you purchase the DS Lite (http://www.fraggerock.com/images/gaming/ds_size_comparison.jpg). It looks better, performs better, and the screen is far brighter than the DS 'Phat'. x]

If you're looking for a home console, then buy the 360. But not the Core package! If you were planning to get the Core package because of the price, I suggest you wait a little longer till both the new Nintendo console and the Sony console are out onthe market or you'll end up hating yourself later.

There is nothing wrong with getting a core package. If you want too play online buy the premium package but I just bought the core package and a memory card, I'll get a harddrive in my own time. You need a good HDTV with 60Hz (Sp?.) for top quality gameplay.

They where only launch games though. Tiger woods looks far better also.
The graphics on some of the newer games are great!

ds's are absolouty rubbish, being a owner of both consoles & Highly recommend buying an xbox360 as the graphics look's like you're actually in the game when I plug them into my 4 speakers.

That is impossible, it HAS TO BE BETTER, because the DS can play all Gameboy advance games, it also has a touch screen and better graphics, so it HAS to be better, due to the fact it plays Gameboy advance games.
